Great to see O'neill play McClean. He is a future player. Great goals and Europa cup football for Sunderland imo.
Wow Craig...that was one hell of a strike. It swerved so hard that when I first saw the goal, I thought it took a deflection.
Like Bardsleys goal last year. Swerved so much in all directions, that i thought it had to have hit someone.
Wow all the Sunderland goals were awesome
I really hope Wigan stay up,

They have a fantastic young manager who plays good quality football with a good ethos, Wigan have been punching above their weight for years, hope it long continues.

On a side note, anyone care to tell me why Victor Moses hasn't been called up for England?

England may have plenty of wingers... but wingers with skill? I would love Moses to get a call up
he has potential but be real he has a million shots per game and hes hit the corner flag more times then the back of the net, hes not good enough for the english side.
Beware of those sportyhub highlights - I got a nasty virus from their site.
I thought Vaughans goal was superb, he's a knack for absolutely HAMMERING the ball and the technique to keep it accurate as well. He scored another cracker a couple of games back. Gardener had a cracking effort against Man City the other night and scored a fantastic free kick in this game. And we all know what Larsson can do with a dead ball as well. Theres a real quality to the squad. Let's hope they keep believing in themselves :)

Fantastic performance by Craig Gardner! Cleared a shot off the line and then smashed a free kick into the top corner. Yes there was wind but he scored it superbly.
Wigan. were. not. rubbish.
Too many people on this site dont think to use the buttons between awesome and rubbish.

Certainty I think Sunderland is awesome and of cos I think Sunderland keeper was awesome!Wigan's goal was not bad imo
Wigan played great in the first half and were unlucky with two shot hitting the post; however, in the second half the defense were ALL OVER THE PLACE..
O'Neill continues his fantastic job at Sunderland. Villa were really foolish to let him go. He delivered a top 6 finish 2-3 yrs in a row. They would have probably still kept Milner, Young, Downing and Barry had he been there. He has prob now got more points then Bruce did in half as many games.
he resigned, suddenly, unexpectedly, just before the start of last season. Villa wanted him to stay.
he resigned because the board sold his star players without his blessing!
Pretty sure ALL those players you just named left BEFORE he resigned... Good call tho.
Downing and Young moved this summer.
Amazing FK. Awesome match due to weather conditions
wow what an incredible game by the looks of it, two absolute stunners! and good offensive play by wigan also, it's such a shame that they seem to lack a little bit of defensive focus. you gotta feel for Roberto Martinez, he's a fantastic manager, but there's only so much you can do, its up to the players to stay focused. let's hope they can tighten up in the back, they play some good offensive football. better than liverpool today at any rate

good one..
Martin O'Neill shows his quality to manage the team. Great performance. 2 wins in a row, one was the top league leading.
What a win away from Home for Sunderland, great goals, the first free kick really shouldn't have happened it was really not a foul, but what happened after that was fantastic! That Gardner strike was brilliant I mean really was, what a free kick, ball moving in the rain, looked awesome! I love those goals, the other 2 goals after that were nice by Sunderland too, the one rebound header was good to see for that player and sunderland and then the nice pass tap in, and then Vaughan had a smash for himself too what great placement and strike very nice to see for there away fans, good for Wigan to score one at home but tough one for them
Ive watched a lot of football matches where goals come from dodgy decisions, and over every season, teams will get about 3 or 4. Unless your man utd, when you get 50.
