Anyone else a little befuddled by the Giggs-Carrick duo? They really aren't as potent as people seem to think - we only scored 5 times in 3 games against Chelsea with them last season, and that was largely due to Park, Valencia, Roo and Chicha's super-form. This season, the duo has failed to yield fruit against Newcastle and now Wigan. Giggs really is showing his age these days, the games have been passing him by as of late

agree. giggs is terrible in midfield tbh. he should play as winger and launch a few sharp crosses.he produced A LOT better displayes while he was threating from the wing.chicarito is terrible this seasson, welbeck is just too clumsy to score.that dude is just completely out of balance. chica has solid first touch but when it comes to pass you just know it's not going to end where it should.tbh i would like to see berba joining rooney up in front or,left winger nani, middle scholes and carrick, right valencia, and def line evra, ferdinand, evans, rafael. young deffinitle from the bench and chicarito wont come in till next season.
i know scholes is not young anymore..but after this rest i hope he gets no more rest for the remaining 5 games..sorry scholes but u'r simply too good in restoring order in midfield, creating tempo for whole team, keeping the ball, n unleashing a long range blast when united needs one!!

SAF should unleash berba as well..jz let the cool dude plays a part in remaining games..@least he doesn't panic like welbeck when it comes to one-on-one or desperate moments. sometimes, with respect, the old man is abit too stubborn..eh.? i don't know what he sees in welbeck but i hope he's right in future.

mkay,i actually made account here just to share my personal feelings about united suspicious results over past years in final few mathces of the season.am still favorizing united for more than a decade but i think this game is ''sold''.i noticed throughout years that fergie starts to loose deliberately some games at the end of a season against low clubs who are very near relegating. we all know how wigan actually low team is, they have 11 ultra non-talented players. i think united 3rd team could easily won there that they want. but this game was obviously lost on purpose. remember last year wolverhampton. i will never forget when united played a couple of years ago vs west ham in last round and they played like sh*t with 2nd team loosing home 0-3 (if i remember well), saving west ham's ass directly relegating some other team (may be cristal palace but not sure). and next month tevez came into united. like it or not fergie is one damn son of a b**tc, crazy old man who has a lot of fingers into dirty business. i watched a game but i kinda knew they will loose. it was so obvious throughout entire game that united players are playing with 20%. see ferdinand reaction when moses was 1on1 somewhere at end of match. he kinda didnt know how to move away from block and there was no intention of stealing the ball. they wanted to loose this game am 100% sure. i dont know is that some politic that united is forcing throughout past seasons helping some teams staying in league but this game was lost before even started. he never talked about this match how some players played. he wasnt angry as always when he loose. it was more like ''ok not a problem'' even if this match COULD BE crucial in deffending title. i swear, this match wasnt regular. he took off roney in 65th minute. that never happened before. fixed game

@PrinceQuickMix: I doubt Fergie loss on purpose because a) Man City are way too close in the EPL table for them to risk losing a game b) The calls for handball on the Wigan defender were very strong c) Phil Jones reacted appropriately against the corner d) There is absolutely no reason for Fergie to help out smaller teams and he would not risk his retiring years behind bars if he was taking a bribe and d) We have seen this awful performance from Man Utd many times this season e.g. in FA cup, CL and Europa League, so it's hardly a surprise.
@ PrinceQuickMix

Are you familiar with the principle of parsimony aka "Ockams Razor"?
a)3 points for wigan battling for relegation are still more important than 3 points for united who were 8 pts clear
b)it will be very stupid not to react, just covering dirty work
c)i didnt say all players are involved, probably more experienced (ferdinand for sure, giggs...)
d)i felt that way for long time but couple of years ago i started to think different. i think wigan wasnt fighting united properly for last couple of years but there was ''deal'' like ''we will let you points when you will need it'' . i think united have same sort of ''deal'' with wolves (and west ham) aswell. am not saying money is the main reason but there may be some sort of ''human helping'' if i can describe that way. like those teams are not figting united 100% on their ground when united is fighting for title but united have obligation to ''help'' them if situation is not good for those teams in relagation fighting. am looking on that way, am not saying some lawyers are behind tables negotiating about which minute will someone concede a goal and stuff. more like friendly gesture if you get my point. am sorry but i couldnt help the fact that i kinda expected this result and i told to friend before game started ''united might loose this game it's type of game which ferguson have ''accidentaly'' lost in past years'' and it was exactly like that. am not a smartass but if i kinda felt that, there must be something behind it. trust me
okay we get it just hack it United Lost you saying stuff isn't going to give you 3 points as well

Hope you stay Wigan, Roberto is the man! Btw great goal
Who's gunna do scholes job?

What was de Gea doing in the disallowed goal? he didn't even try to push the Wigan player out of the way.
The goal should have been allowed.
Maybe de Gea should hit the gym...

the real question is why was it a disallowed goal? But we all know why....

I think some people voted maloneys goal just because it makes the league interesting
Thank you Wigan!!! The League is now going to be interesting
The commentator summed up this game brilliantly;

"If Wigan had played like this all season they be nowhere near the bottom... Manchester United had play like this they'd be nowhere near the top"

I don't get why Fergie didn't play Webb upfront with Rooney, schoolboy error...

U mean Howard Webb or Welbeck? lol u are funny

Fergie forgot to pay

unlike arsenal ... united is in debt .. their cheque bounced. ....lol

or it could just be karma..
Victor Moses is such a selfish player.

I don't mean to hate but what striker isn't selfish. That is there job to be that way. I'm not going to just single Messi out, but he is that way as well. Higuain is the same way too. C Ronaldo has gotten over his selfishness a bit but he still has it too
+1
^ agreed....selfishness is a part of a strikers job

I assure you that I'm not just basing my comment because of this game. One of the prime examples which leads me to think he's an selfish player, was Everton previous encounter with Wigan. Really odd for someone who's trying to follow Zidanes footsteps.
I remember a lot of Mancs saying Man United always accept it when the refs against them ( for once in a f*cking year). And now, they're all crying for better refs. Too bad u lot still gonna win this title
