TBH, for that goal, Cole shouldn't stand there so close to cech cuz it's useless anyway. He should've went to the more open area at Cech's right.
From watching these highlights, the two glaring problems for Chelsea were that they allowed way too many chances for WBA, and they couldn't finish any. Chelsea a few seasons ago were so well organized defensively that you wouldn't think of them as a team that would allow that many chances. What a nightmare for them.
unlucky just unlucky!
watching chelsea this season, i now realise how important managers are. no hate though, chelsea have a team full of potential!
AVB came to chelsea at the worst time, from injuries to s**t load of dramas. can't blame him too much, however, he didn't have much experience in premier league derbies!!! Chelsea vs. Man U, Chelsea Vs. Man chity, Chelsea vs. Liverpool, and etc... a manager like him is meant to be challenge by games like these!!! Premier league just doesn't go with him!! maybe spain or italy...but not england and the way they play soccer!!!!!

wow. good job Woy.
Worst game they have ever played this season. THEY WERE DOMINATED BY A TEAM IN THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE TABLE (No offense) This is pathetic. They deserved this loss, and it better wake us up. As for AVB, he became a parallel to torres. Seem promising, but a bitter disappointment for chelsea. He's a talented manager nevertheless, but right now, he is not what Chelsea need. Best of luck to him. Good game for west brom, they're on a good streak now. Good luck blues!

There are a string of managers that Chelsea should have kept. They should have given Grant more of a chance, Ancellotti was doing a good job too. Unreal. AVB is a great manager, he just didn't belong in the chelsea system. Any manager that wins 4 titles in one season definitely has something special to offer.
I feel bad that AVB was sacked, but seriously it was really becoming an agony watching Chelsea play. I know everyone is condeming Chelsea in the media, and are laughing at us... yes we deserve it based on the club's past record of firing managers. But this time I really believe it was the right decision, sometimes you just have to make a change no matter how unpopular the decision would be. It clearly was not working with AVB from players, staff to fans. Everyone just seemed to lose any belief in him. I wish him the best, and it is really not his fault as he was hired knowing fully well that he lacked the right experience for this club and the premier league at least not now. He will definitely be great somewhere else in the future.. with the failure of the past 9months, he will have a lot of valuable lessons to build from. No matter where you are you have to know how to manage people as human beings first. The treatment of players like Anelka and Alex must've caused serious resentment in the dressing room. They were barely getting any playing time, & put in a transfer request... Since when did that become a crime? His press conferences seemed really arrogant and he just didnt know how to handle the prem league media and their bullying. From tactics to man management, he just seemed overwhelmed. Best of luck to him. But for now, Chelsea players must lift themselves up and move forward. the interim coaching staff must find a way to lift up the players' spirits and confidence to stop this string of losses every week we've been having. Best of luck to them.

Why is everyone blaming Sturridge? This is just one bad game for him... I was surprised that he started since it was said he had picked up an injury on his foot/toe. Looks like he's joined some other players in the low confidence department too, sad. But he's been one of the few excellent players all season and people need to tone all this criticism down. I'm sure he will be come back strong.
a game that we should not lost. We had a chance to secure 4th place for move away from 5th,6th place and Sturridge had that most chances and blew it
I kinda feel bad for Villas Boas but everybody saw this coming. Hopefully he can find another club and have better success.

the russian cares about champions league,he wanted benitez, anymagician who can deliver the silverware!!
Respect Respect Respect Respect your manager!!!!!!!
As simple as that....AVB was saying publicly that he is not getting the support from the hierarchy as simple as that...that tells the story!!You cant have back stabbing within the Team!!!
Roman Abromovich you got to learn from SAF and Man Utd...We back SAF in every decision he makes on the field...our players respect him...so as the fans!!!

Football is a Team game,11 players should work as team for your teams success.you can have ego but when you cross that white line, you are one of the team member whose responsibility is to contribute winning chances for your Team.I blame Chelsea players for making this great club to a disaster. You may have done wonders in the past, but when you are on the field you should play as a team and deliver results...you guys are paid high fees to play for your Team not to do cat fight....So many great Manager's worked with Chelsea no one ever succeed at CFC because the players knows that no matter what happens, we will get paid every time but the manager will be sacked if there is a poor result....In that case Arsenal would have sacked Arsene Wenger after 2004.Roman Abromovich belives money can buy trophies but thats a utter mistake....AVB was the person for CFCs long term future.....Now, even you bring in Jose Moriniho to Chelsea, it would be the same story:)
only person who played good for chelsea was A.Cole, we need him at arsenal lol
Sturridge, what the hell. I say Chelsea get rid of F.Torres and try and pick up Neymar or D. Villa

lol Torres >> Sturridge and this match prove that Sturridge is not ready...yet still you all say get rid of Torres. We need playmakers ppl who can assist Torres
actually you just need Torres to score but thats a whole different problem
Sturridge getting all this abuse, for one bad game? interesting.
i woudnt say this is his only bad game but this one cost AVB his job
