For heaven's sake why does Chelsea play a 'wait for mistakes' game. Thanks for some untidy defending and we are through with this game.
But we cant expect this every week. Attack.....is the call and how you do it is 'Creativity'.

I still prefer drogba than torres anyday... but chelsea lacks creativity... can't wait to see what mata is gonna do for this team..

pleased with the win, really disappointed with the preformance. Really glad we signed mata, looks like we still are lacking a spark in the midfield.

Well it wasn't as good as the 6-0 last season but at least we won, even though we were kinda lucky.
We need to improve are defending.

few positives and negatives about the game.

bosingwa was quite solid in his attacking movements but his defensive play wasnt up to the standard that a top EPL team should have.

chelsea's defence in that game was awful. the offside play introduced by AVB is risky, and our man marking was awful. there were few occasions if WBA picked up the right players in our defensive holes we would be trailing 3-0 at half time.

torres was horrible, partly due to lack of supply from midfield, partly due to his lack of confidence at the moment.

anelka played quite well actually, apart from slowing down chelsea's attack occasionally with his ball control.

ramires was our best midfield player in that game. HOWEVER, he needs to improve his passing, if not he will be a waste.

to summarize, chelsea wasnt up to the standard yet.

i dont know what game you were watching mate, but Torres was certainly not horrible. He wasnt as sharp as the first game, but still a far ways off from horrible.

Chelsea should sign Higuain n he wouldn't get tired of making goals, most of d strikers are old like Drogba or Anelka, just saying, they also need some new defender.

drogba and anelka seems like they wanted to leave, anyway they are above 30 years old now and kalou is inconsistent and with torres still not finding his form yet. And lukaku has yet to play a game so we don't know if he can adapt here so i agree that u need to sign one more striker

West Brom played well for the second week in a row and didnt deserve to lose.
They deserved a win or a point in this game. Chelsea were very lucky in this game. They dont look like the same side they have been in the last few years.

Hey almost every game United won last season there was a Chelsea fan saying we were lucky. Even if we won 5 - 0 they would say we were lucky.

And you cant say you guys werent lucky. Even the most die hard Chelsea fan could not deny it.

wait wait wait... so chelsea win againt west brom with two legit goals, while man u win last week only because of an own goal. ya you're right... we're the lucky ones.

and i wouldn't say man u are always lucky, they are just very good at scoring an equalizer/game winner. and fair to that, but sometimes you have to thank luck.

p.s. there were two blatant penalties that the ref missed in this game, the score should have been 4-1 for chelsea.

in my opinion, you make your own luck- by putting in dangerous crosses that result in own goals or deflections (Young, Anelka), by getting in dangerous positions that result in penalties, by wearing out the other defense for 90 minutes that results in a late goal, etc, etc- there's hardly any such thing as just being flat out lucky IMO.

WBA should have just capitalized on their earlier chances. there's no luck to it :)

I dont think Chelsea is lucky..WBA jus does not have the quality players that can take advantage of every opportunity...Man United is never lucky..they are just very good at being patient...good work ethics and hustle so towards the end of the game they can take advantage of when the opponent is tired and make the most out of it...that's the fine line of difference that separates Winners from loosers.

AVB introduced offside play in chelsea defence which i think is quite risky. against fast attackers that wont work. in that bad cross by Long that caused WBA a goal, alex was trying to play Tchoyi offside but failed. if he din do that for sure he would have intercepted that cross by long.
