luis suarez plays for liverpool and manages honduras wow he is hella good multi tasking
most dynamic performance from the US in quite some time - I think Klinsmann has done some great things. If not for poor finishing, this could have been 3 or 4 nil
unbelievable misses, and that might be dempsey's best goal.
LOL at the misses ahahahahaha

no wonder no one watches football in america
Hahahahahaha... LMAO...

Dude... LOL... Let me tell you something... LOL... The website you're currently in... LOL... A lot of the employees are either from America or lives in America... LOL... So you're pretty much saying these guys who put together this website and maintain it everyday don't watch football??? LOL... Talk about an insult...

So I'm being sarcastic with the whole laughing part...

Do your self a favor... Before you type something stupid here on footytube again... Educate your self you ignorant American hater...

Football is enjoyed everywhere... Good day!!!

I love ignorant people like you who try to scoff at Americans because football isn't the nation's top sport.

People like you piss me off. You want us to watch football, but you discourage us in the process.

As an American, let me point out that he is correct. Shea sucked it up, period. In the past 6 months, I've seen four inside touches, 10 feet out, where all the US player has to do is pop it into the net, and each one is a miss. Weak shots on goal, scoops over the net and on and on. Above, someone said it should have been 4 or 5 nil. Yes, it should have been. If I'm JK, I'm eating Shea up for his three missed goals. There is lots of speed in the world, not enough. If you can't combine that speed with an ability to control your shot, you've got a sprinter playing at being a receiver.

BTW - those misses denote lack of focus. Dempsey, watch him, in control, eyes on the ball, knows where he is going. Rest of the team, not so much.

"Highlights of the match"

Now before I rabble I just wanna say I did not see the full match... But here's what I unbiasedly think of the highlights...

Things people should take in consideration about this match...

1. New manager with only 3 friendly matches in his book...
2. The US squad is currently an experimental squad...
3. The pitch was very wet thanks to the stormy weather of Florida...

The US squad did such a great job in this match overall... Great movement of the ball... Fluid passing motion, great possession with minimal giveaways and lots of created opportunities... Something that used to be absent in the past but the fans got Klinnsman to thank for that offensive mind set...

"Players I want to highlight"

1. Brek Shea for his involvement with nearly every single attacking play... Great youngster who seems to fit right in with Klinnsman due to his speed and footwork...

2. Clint Dempsey... This Fulham star was very much involve technically scoring 2 goals... A world class footballer...

3. Tim Howard... The US has always produced some of the best goal keepers in the world and there's no argument about that... Tim Howard is no exception... Where his defensive line fails, he makes up for it and some...

"Mistakes"

The back line still needs work... It's coming along but still needs to be address... The misses from Shea and Onyewu are both unacceptable in matches that counts... There are no excuses aside from the fact that we're all humans and we make mistakes... The match official clearly made an error calling back the second Dempsey goal...

"The VERDICT"

Overall the US played great and I'm very excited to see how this squad transform from now all the way to 2014... Right now is the best time to be a US supporter... The worst time to be a US "hater"...

As mentioned here from another commenter... The better the US gets, the more people are going to hate... The fact that football (soccer) is not the main sport in the country but the US can still keep up and provide something for the fans is great... Most people do not take that in consideration...

No matter what haters say... The US is a very big contender in the world of football (soccer)... The US do not have a long way to go no more... They are actually knocking at the door of these bigger and more established football powered countries... But just imagine if football is the main sport in the US... "IMAGINE THAT"...

"In Klinnsman we trust..."
nice to see a win. the better the US gets the more the hate's gonna spew. Kinky, I think you're sh***y and your commentary has a long way to go in my eyes

I agree...
I have never seen someone missing like that in my life, lmao. Glad we won tho.
USA's defense is absolute s**t. The only thing that kept the clean sheet for the United States was Tim Howard in the back holding it down like he usually does. I'm glad we got the W under Klinsman, but the United States team really needs to step it up. It should have been 3-0, but oh well. Lucky for both teams I suppose.

It's a friendly... The US defense was not completely terrible... I've seen worst from other countries... Yes Tim Howard is a beast but I would still give credit where it is due...
Demsey our true pride for american soccer all those who missed at point blank should be banned from USA soccer team unbelievable we should at least had 3 goal victory
Clint Dempsey is the first world class American field player. Great to see the young kids coming through as well!

Don't forget Donovan and Tim Howard :)
field player = not keepers. america has produced a bunch of great keepers.
although he missed a tap in goal...Brek Shea was involved with almost every offensive opportunity. This kid is going to be the future of the USMNT in the world cups all the way up to Qatar. Also, Howard proving again that he is such world class...How Manchester United didn't sign him again after Van Der Saar is beyond me. Go USA! Slowly but surely Jurgen is transforming this team into a creative, cohesive unit!

I think USA is playing much better post Klinsmann. He's helped them step up their strategy and creativity a lot. This game really just demonstrates that the USA Players, while not terrible, lack not only the consistency to put away easy goals, but just the higher level skills to make many challenging shots. every once and a while they'll make a good one like Dempsey did but I don't really expect it.

They just dont have the any real top notch players yet... But im very excited for the future! :D

p.s. one possible exception would be Tim Howard, whereas I used to not see much in him, I think he really played well and made some impressive saves.
usa number 11 is s**t.........

No he's not. You should watch his other performances for his club and other international games before you call him crap. He has potential and brings a good pace to this new US side.

Besides that slip up, i was really impressed with Brek Shea in this game

What kind of misses were made. Holy ... But good game by the US. Keep on.
