WHERES THE HIGHLIGHTS?

The one titled "Tottenham Hotspur vs. Birmingham City" worked fine for me, and it was 5 days old. 2 Minute vid, but worked nonetheless. Here's the link:

yeah.
Too easy.
It was kind of hard actually :/ I knew that Liverpool were a goal down when Birmingham equalized but I was still worried about Liverpool coming back to win while we stayed at 1-1. This game was definitely not easy and only some real magic from Pavlyuchenko in stoppage time saved it for us.
SuperSpurs, are you Harry's and defoes publicist? Your assumption is wrong, I am also a spurs fan since the late 70's have played a decent level in oz and follow several leagues in Europe, have gone to some of the best stadiums in the world to watch football including the Nou Camp. I think I have a pretty worldly view of football unlike your fanaticised one eyed view.
We finished 4th last year, beneath us was man city (they sacked coaches, had in fighting etc but still not a bad effort) after the league was poor including Liverpool. This year we finished 5th, beneath us are a whole lot of average sides of which many have scored more goals than spurs and our 'attacking football'. wE have not exceeded expectations we met them. If Redknapp was not so stubborn to play the lads instead of someone better we may have had the chance to enter the ECL this year. Just because we have not had ECL before we are supposed te accept mediocrity according to H and he is offended when spurs fan give theer views about what went wrong.

Both Defoe and Crouch are clueless in their positioning as forwards. Crouch is totally useless he should be bowling for Sussex not playing football so I wont bother with him. Yes, Defoe is a good finisher and striker of the ball and I have no doubt, (like Bent) if he goes to a lesser team he'll score a few more goals because the opponent usueally attacks them and leaves gaps for a Defoe type forward to run off the last man. Anything other than that and he is absolutely useless, playing against a packed defence or a qualtiy opponent.

These guys were supplied by Bale, VDV and Modric (the best midfielder in the world this year besides the barca boys). Pav did not get a fair go in the team and instead we dropped points against all the weaker teams. I am looking forward to Townsend and Rose making an impact if they get to play under harry as he seems to have a liking for one dimensional players. If you can recall, he was looking at offloading Bale at one stage. Great insight..Pav deserves another chance, he is a smarter forward who knows where to run & reads the play well, and has fantastic striking skills.
I agree with you that Pav deserves another chance but I still can't blame Harry for playing the guy that he's been with for so long. You can't deny that Harry understands Defoe much better than he does Pavlyuchenko. Whether it was right or not to play Defoe more, I just can't blame Harry for doing it.

Also, I really can't believe someone who claims to have been a spurs fan since the 70s would say that Defoe is "clueless" or "useless". What the hell, man? Have you been watching us in these past 3 years? If you have and you have THAT kind of an opinion of Defoe, then you are just blind. I don't like to insult people, but honestly, Defoe has been crucial and most definitely not clueless in positioning as you say. Yes Modric is an amazing midfielder but both Bale and Lennon have not performed as well this season, especially Bale (although that is probably due to injury) and Defoe wasn't a starting striker either. Given Defoe's limited number of starts and Bale and Lennon's mediocre performances, I can't say that you can really blame Defoe for failing to score more goals. I think he definitely deserves another chance just based on his history with the Spurs. If he does this again next season, then it would be time to consider shipping him out.

How is Defoe useless against a packed opponent? Most of the goals that he did score this season were long shots through defenses. I don't know what you're talking about but it seems he's fairly effective against a packed defense. Also, when has he been played against a "quality opponent" for more than 15 minutes this season? I don't even remember seeing him in the Champion's League. If he gets to play regularly in the EPL like Crouch and still fails to produce more goals, then I'd have to say he should leave.

Finally, I have a "fanaticised one-eyed view"? You'll find that I've not said ridiculous things at all. I haven't claimed anything completely stupid. I haven't said that Defoe is the best striker we have, because if I did, then you would be right. All I've said is that the guy is a decent striker and given his past with us and what he's done for us, he deserves another chance, unlike Crouch who needs to be shipped out now. I think you're being way too harsh on Defoe and I think most Spurs fans would agree with me. However, we've said enough on this topic and you are definitely entitled to your opinion as I am entitled to mine.

I think I've been bored of saying this all year. If Pav was given 15 weeks in a row as crouch and defoe had, Spurs would be in Champs league. Harry admits at the end that pav has an incredible shot, smart forward who works hard at training. What else did he have to do to play ahead of the useless other 2.? Spurs need another forward, keep pav get rid of crouch because he's useless and defoe before he is worth nothing.
Hey, Defoe is not "useless". Having watched him in the past several years, he has been critical in Harry Redknapp's strategy in getting Spurs from bottom of the league to UCL in such a short amount of time. This year he has put in some real lacklustre performances but he is definitely not useless and in my opinion as a long-time Spurs fan, Defoe definitely has a place in our future and it would be a shame to see him go.

I like how an AEK Athens fan who has no idea of Defoe's place in Spurs history has the balls to call Defoe useless. The guy is better than any of the strikers on the team you apparently support. He's an international player and someone as wise as Redknapp would not buy him multiple times for no reason. Don't EVER say that Defoe is "worth nothing" because he's worth a hell of a lot more than you think. Also, I wouldn't straight-up insult another team's player with nothing to back it up except half a season's worth of results.

That said, Pavlyuchenko is definitely a quality striker and I think we all see that from his goal tally in a limited number of starts. However, I can't really blame Redknapp for playing Defoe who is also a quality striker (just look at some of his finishes this year) and has proven himself multiple times for Tottenham. It is just unfortunate that Defoe is in a bit of a bad run and isn't quite in form.

We should keep Pav and Defoe and get a replacement for Crouch. His own goal against Man City pretty much sums up his season for us. Sure he headed some nice goals against Stoke. Sure he scored a goal against Inter Milan but this is Crouch at his best already and it just isn't good enough. There isn't a spot for him in the lineup or the bench if Spurs are going to move forward.
agreed m8. pav and defoe and ship crouch away.
It would be a mistake to ship Crouch out though. Crouch has a very unique build, it will cause massive problems especially to CL teams. I do honestly think if Crouch hadn't gotten himself sent off against us, Spurs might have nicked it off Pepe, though I'm sure Carvalho could have dealt with him. But most European teams are not accustomed to a Big man like Crouch.
Crouch comes up decent sometimes but it's not enough. I don't think he's caused big problems for any teams in the Champions League. When we played AC Milan, he was climbing up over all their defenders and rightly getting called out for it. I wouldn't call him a big man cause he's got no strength. I would consider someone more like Luca Toni a big man.
=)

Birmingham were relegated due to the fact of their Carling Cup hangover !!!
How fitting that Harry decides to start Crouch - our least gifted striker - only to be replaced by Pavlyuchenko, by the good fortune of an injury. End result: Pavlyuchenko 2 - 1 Birmingham

Yea, Tottenham have a lot of quality on the bench.
Pavlyuchenko shoudln't be on the bench

agreed. Pav is quality!
Beautiful goals.
any body have a link to see these highlights???

Seems like Spurs might get a great keeper in Friedel if the rumours are true. They need to get rid of Gomes, he's costing them too much.

Would not mind shay given, either way they are shot stoppers which is what you want, as the all rounder/ shot stopper is hard to find or not for sale.
For all his flaws I do not mind gomez because he is a very good shot stopper. Eg the goal cudicini copped on sunday would have been stopped by gomez 100% and Birmingham did not have another shot all game. The Real game is the only game gomez cost spurs and it was a dead rubber thanks to Crouch ( the real banana of the team). Against Chelsea? it want really a goal at the end of the day but it counted so call it 2. He was unlucky to give away the penalty becaue it was a bit of a dive and his defence was not there, furthermore he brilliantly saved the previous penalty. The Great VDSaar made a couple of gaffes, so too did Chech and have a look at the defence in front of them and the amount of shots against. Dont know why Spurs and Arsenal dont pick up Sorensen. Does not make sense.
Please not Shay Given, the guy is retiring in a couple of years. Also, what are you going on about with Sorensen? Sorensen has hardly been amazing this year and I don't think he's good enough to be in a top half team. Ben Foster would be a better replacement and I think Ali Al-Habsi has really shown how good he is this year. He's had magnificent performances even with an extremely-flawed Wigan defense.

Also, Cudicini has been solid this whole season. Many a keeper would have let that goal in too so it's definitely not a mistake like Gomes's slip against Real or his ridiculous mistake against Chelsea. Gomes has progressively gotten worse while Cudicini has been solid for 2 or 3 seasons now as backup keeper. We should definitely keep Cudicini until he retires, he's been pretty amazing since we bought him.
also dont forget gomes's mistake against man u giving nani a gift wrapped goal lol.
Haha, yes that one was terrible too, but the one against Chelsea was worse in my opinion. 5-year old goalkeepers shouldn't be letting those balls through their legs, let alone someone getting paid tens of thousands of pounds a week. Gomes was good for us in the UCL at the beginning of the season but he was a little rusty. He made mistakes and we made excuses for him. "O, other keepers would have let that in, don't worry about it." "Everyone makes mistakes." "He won't do it again." Now, it's gotten ridiculous and it would be idiotic to keep him anymore. He's held us back too much.
haha i completly agree with you mate. appearantly reddnkapp is bringing in ben foster from brimingham, if he does then i think u guys will do alright.
Ben Foster would be decent. I'm not sure about your goalies, but my first reaction would be to say that szeczny (not gonna try spelling it haha) should be a substitute goalkeeper at this point. He has lots of potential but I just don't think he has enough experience to take Arsenal where they want to go. In that 3-3 derby match, he could've prevented some goals. The most memorable moment was his challenge on Lennon which gave away the penalty. Goalkeepers should just be covering Lennon's side in that situation to prevent the cross and get it out for a corner; he shouldn't have taken him down since Lennon wasn't going anywhere anyways. Also, I think he could've covered the net better from Huddlestone's strike near the end of the first half, he was only about half an arm's length away from pushing it out. He's definitely better than Almunia but I think you guys still need a solid experienced keeper to be first choice, someone like Ali Al-Habsi, an underrated keeper that plays for a shitty team. Another choice might be Marton Fulop? I know Fulop has played in the top flight before and he's definitely cheap, since he plays for Ipswich now.
yeah I'm not convinced about sczaney either he makes too many errors espcially against man united at the emirates when he dived 5 yards to make a save from roonye's FK when he should've been shuffling his feet. although he's still young and can improve but knowing wenger he'll most likely keep him as our no1. i think gomes makes great saves but he makes too many critcal errors thus frustrating the fans and teamates alike.
Traction engine.
How ironic is it that Birmingham get relegated By Spurs but they beat Arsenal in the Carling Cup Final..who thought spurs would be doing arsenal a favour?lol
Any proper highlights please?
all three goals are insane, WHAT DO I DOOOO!???
supercalifragilistic roman pavlyuchenko! lol

lol...too funny...hope gareth bale stays with spurs - it'll make for an interesting season again in 2011/2012

the spurs need a new keeper and a defender and to get rid of crouch for next season, they will be so much better.
I have been suggesting a permanent Crouch transfer for the last two seasons! The sad reality is that Harry might ship off Pavlyuchenko, and keep Crouch for another blunder-filled year. COYS!!!

I hear you brother..
wtf pav scored so many sick goals this season. needs more starts. same as krancjar.
krancjar is going
Kranjcar is definitely going. He's already pissed off as it is about playing an average of 5 minutes when he gets on the field and his salary is pretty high for someone who Redknapp barely uses. However, that is not to say he isn't good because he is, he just doesn't fit well into the Spurs squad.
Kranjcar is an excellent player, but he just doesnt fit into the spurs starting lineup. he definitely shouldve had more appearances off the bench instead of jenas or pienaar.
Jenas and Pienaar are mediocre at best, but Kranjcar is awesome when he's on a good streak. The fact that a midfielder can actually score a couple of goals while playing for just several minutes in a few games in the season is amazing.
