Had I not been a Manchester United faithful, I would definitely be a Spurs fan. I admire what Harry Redknapp has done with the club & with their form this season compared to ours, I fear we might get overtaken if we don't get our act together. Amazing goal from Benoit.

agreed, i think they've been playing the best football this season.
agreed.
haha.. Pathetic. If Arsenal or Liverpool were in any position that would remotely have a possibility of them winning the league, I doubt you'd be saying that.
u want something new? City winning epl is something new

Ass-ricotta!!!!!!!!!!!!
I watch almost every Tot game and u can really feel the abscence of Scott Parker in the middlefield. I prefer starting line up with Sandro instead of Lennon who is a good player but with Sandro/Parker/Modrić and Bale/VdV/Adebayor in front where the best games so far...
Well, Livermore was a beast today and it's been quoted to death but he had just under a 99% pass accuracy many of which were forward moving passes. Against a team like Everton at home, we didn't really need Parker.
And that ladies and gentlemen is how we score a goal worthy of the Goal of the week!!! Great goal from Assou-Ekotto.
where is the highlight???
We rarely get good highlights for our matches, not sure why. I guess we're still not considered a big team or something since Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City all have tons of highlights. Liverpool had like full highlights for the goddamn Oldham game and Arsenal had full highlights for Leeds United. A lot of our games don't get anything even close to proper highlights on this site. It does get annoying.

Its not this site. its TV coverage. if its more channels, ppl upload more highlights on video sharing sites and footytube indexes it.

I do wish thy stopped indexing site that have a restriction on location such as msn vids and bbc videos

didnt think spurs would be challenging at this point of the league, not playing ucl certainly helps. Still well done...
One of the thinks that help Tottenham to get their way to the second place in EPL, is how the board manage to keep all the best players in the squad & not sold them to top-class clubs: like Modric when he was very close to sign to Chelsea, and Bale who was close to Inter Milan.
It's fairly simple in this case. The player's both had Contract agreements and the Chairman just said no to either leaving.

This is not what happen every time when your player is requested by top-class clubs.
and yes you have to give credit to the chairman who fight for his stars.
Safouane, Oddshot has it right. If they're under contract, the Chairman can just say no. Easy stuff.

The difficulty comes in when you have to worry whether that player will play to the best of their abilities if they are unhappy and want to go away. In our case, Modric sorted his head out and has been brilliant this season.

Also, if a player is nearing the end of their contract, the owner has to consider whether it's worth it to keep the player for one more season and sell for a much lower price when the contract expires. Again, in our case, Modric is tied to our club for quite a while still, so Levy had full control of the situation. In the end, it was never anyone else's decision but his. Even Harry was willing to sell Modric but Levy put his foot down. Credit to him for sure.
That goal was nasty!

Man United better start getting nervous, as their hold on second is now looking a little shaky. Spurs are in fine form, and it showed in this game. They could even challenge for the title the way that they're going...
This that game that was supposed to be opening weekend, but good win for Spurs at home, didn't see extended highlights but saw 2 goals and bit, Lennon's goal was good enough, could being prevented and howard was going wrong way, but the 2nd goal by Ekotto was fantastic strike from distance, it did take a deflection but was sweet goal and feeling for him!
why footballers get paid so much? supply and demand. They do what we cant do. and no not because of they are "fitter than us which is scientifically proven" yet i have not seen a shred of the proof. They deserve the 500k a week because they do what i would love to do better than i ever would do and they get me to come back week in week out to watch them on the pitch. thats why
