Great win for Tottenham at home, great goals for sure, I really surprised with how well they playing this season, but Cahill getting red getting red didn't even give Bolton a chance to do anything which really too bad for them, they having dreadful season they must be really missing Sturridge !
Spurs scored on the same play twice but with two goal scorers. Modric corner Bale near post flick with Defoe at the far post. A bit lucky now that I have a chance to think about it. I felt good on game day though.
How is that lucky? When you can score twice from the same play, it just means you are good and consistent: Modric makes great corners, Bale's pace is hard to deal with when he makes those runs to the right hand side of the box.

Jaaskelainen did very well. Krul also *Chelsea vs Newcastle* . but they still beaten.

What a difficult job as a goalkeeper. Good is not enough. It needs to be awesomeeee!!
Jaaskilinen.. done so well

stupid Cahill..hahaha hope Arsenal not sign him..

That shouldn't have been a red

@Dinglehater2
Agree. Yellow card should enough..:)

Still, it looks like Cahill can't handle big teams. There are probably better defenders to sign.
The red card has already been cancelled
@Trias00, it had nothing to do with the red card, it was the fact that he looked uncomfortable dealing with fast players throughout the game before he got sent off. He was pressured into some bad decision making and that's what ultimately forced him to make the challenge which earned him the red. Regardless of whether it was a red or not (it wasn't anyways), the fact is that he got himself into a situation where he was forced to make the challenge: it was either take out Parker and give a foul or let Parker go and hope that Zat Knight can take care of it.

Of course the midfield has to be blamed somewhat, but for a young English defender who is being hyped up so much and who already has his first caps, I expected more.
modric, what class. parker work his ass off. plenty of pace at the side of the pitch. they could create chances from anywhere. Tottenham looks really in control at the moment. beautiful football.

Seriously, ought to feel very sorry for Jaaskilinen in the bolton net, he was by far the best keeping performance from some great keeper performances this weekend! but Spurs are looking very good ATM..

P.S: Modric is KEY man for Spurs, he is the one gets all the team going in attack mode, fantastic player
BAE dive aside.. spurs are looking amazing

beautiful football
tottenham are very very dangerous this season
I wouldn't say Cahill's sending off was a terrible decision, definitely harsh though. It would be one thing if he had just bought him down but he had a dribble and kind of bought the situation on himself...also assou-ekotto was denied what I thought was a very blatent penalty in the second half so it evened out. All in all, another good performance but we will surely have to be better at converting chances against better teams.

Assou-Ekotto went down very easily imo, wasn't really a penalty.

sorry i accidentally liked your post trying to reply .. how is that even??/ THS was leading and in control while bolton loose their best players for a couple matches ... that was not a red card that was extremely harsh! if tottenham can get into CL players like modric wont be interested in leaving and with this form i really back them. Love the EPL for the strong competition!!
not a red card. Way to far out to be a goal scoring opportunity and you can argue he wasn't last man especially since Parker isn't the fastest and someone could have gotten back.
I thought it was a clear penalty on Assou-Ekotto. He did clip him..
Hmm, I don't think there was any real contact there :/ I mean, I know a lot of referees give those penalties but I don't think it warranted one. Although, it might be that the only reason it wasn't given was that the ref had already taken them down to 10 men and they were already at a huge disadvantage considering they were playing us. Maybe the ref took that into consideration.
those runs to the near post bale makes are so dangerous!
First game that Lennon and Bale were able to completely run rampant over the opposition. Lennon is back in very good form and Bale is excellent as always. They didn't just cover their wings, they covered all areas in Bolton's half. Bale scored and assisted by making runs on the right and Lennon scored from the left. Both of these guys can operate on either wing and are fantastic to watch. They are arguably the strongest wing pair in all of England.

I agree with best wings

John Motson commentary is awesome!! Lol

I'm loving being a Spurs fan right now. Every game we produce as exhilarating a performance as anywhere in Europe..
Either with our amazing pace and attacking style, or our ability to make it very hard for ourselves by defending poorly and not taking our chances.

I watch a lot of european footy on here and only Madrid are as dangerous as Spurs on the counter attack. its amazing.

Still, I don't think we are ready to win the title, but we can definitely come 3rd. To step up we need to make these 3-1s and 3-0s 5s and 6s....because we can end up ruing those chances.

Come on spurs...keep it up, and keep giving these awesome displays.

Wasn't a bad decision from the ref. Scott Parker is just so good that even 50 yards from goal with a defender in front of him, the referee still considers it a clear goalscoring opportunity.

Joking lol Terrible decision.

Wow, Spurs ran riot all over Bolton. Had it not been for Jaaskelainen, the score could've exploded out to massive proportions, kudos to the goalkeeper for keeping Bolton in it for most of the match. It was hilarious though that both Adebyaor and Defoe slid and missed that cross close to the end of the first half. Still, Spurs are playing very attractive football, and deserve their spot in the top 4.

As for Cahill's sending off, harsh. That was not a red. It's very debatable that that was a goalscoring opportunity, and Cahill was not the last man in defence either. Yellow, possibly, red, no.
