The ability to beat an opponent is a useless skill to have? The ability to manipulate the ball to do exactly what you want, the ability of close control...these are useless skills to have?

What the hell is Wbieg talking about! My dad always says that ya tricks are not always the skill a soccer player needs to be able to do but he does say that you need to be able to do something with the ball like tricks and need good ball control! Wbieg, I do not think you have any clue what you are talking about!

Honestly, you (Wbieg) must've meant to say something else entirely, because that is the most wrong thing I've heard, plus yea, some ridiculous tricks are more incredible than practical, but that's why they are so amazing and end up in a skills compilation video. What would you have in this video, a bunch of boring straight passes and guys jogging around the field?

honestly its more simple and effective than what i saw in other videos. more kick feint and nutmeg here. have u seen other videos where there were so many stepovers and not moving forward?

i think you all misunderstood me...my point was that some of these skills are done by players just to show off and a lot of times, a player will do a bunch of stepovers but still doesnt get past the opponent. I do enjoy tricks and skills, as in the video above, but only if they are actually effective, because otherwise it just seems that a player is trying to show off or something and i dont like those types of players. For instance, i really enjoy messi's, iniesta's, nasri's or ozil's style of play, because they dont do a million stepovers just to move a meter forward, but are able to do simple moves that are often more effective. You dont have to tell me i dont know what im talking about i might just enjoy a different style of football thats all...
