i dont blame the boy. it was a goal kick i believe. it is not even chelsea's ball to begin with, which brings in the point that when the boy tried to pick up and retrieve the ball hazard tried to kick it out of his hands. so i guess the boy was like wth and didnt want him to have the ball bc its not even their ball anyways. and lastly its a boy dude. you dont kick a ball a boy is holding

ohh so the job of a ball boy is not to distribute the ball back into the game but to keep the ball under his d*ck for however long he wants and he will get away from it... nice... very nice

now everybody except maybe the swansea fans will remember this game as "the incident where the ballboy got kicked" and not as the moment "swansea beat the european champions to reach the league cup final for the 1st time" ballboy hurted his own club.. shame..

Well, I heard about this event and I was totally on the side of the ball-boy, with my thoughts being "you can't ever, ever do that."

But now having watched it, I'm very sympathetic to the Chelsea point of view. Their fans deserve whatever horrible things come their way for the most part, but that was not really much of a kick, and the ball-boy was WAY out of line holding onto the ball like that. Hazard barely nudges him with his boot; it's not like he hauled off and really kicked him.

I'm sorry but the kid was a punk. He dived on the ball and held on to the ball for no reason. Ball boys are on the park for a reason - to hand over the ball to the players. Now we all know that home side staff is never in too much of a hurry to hand the ball to the visiting side when their side is winning but blatantly stopping the game from proceeding like this? Seems to me the kid received instructions and he took it too far.

Unfortunately, Hazard will be in a lot of trouble for this for a long time. He should have just turned to the ref and reported time wasting tactics instead of manhandling the kid.
