i guess dey both played and da better team won.. better luck next time
great game by Sidibe weak perfomance by Fabianski he surely is better than that
Wow, we could have won. So many chances... Dang it!! FA Cup could have been ours... well at lease we still can the CL!! Let's win that one and the BL!!
Walcott, what's going on?? Get on form so you can get in the World Cup!
I don't thing he will go this time.
Good and well deserved win for Stoke....
Deserved win for Stoke
Arsene Wenger is a great coach but he sometimes makes big mistakes that throws Arsenal out of very important cups. His mistakes costed Arsenal the FA Cup and the Carling Cup. His problem is underestimating the opponents.
You think he actually underestimated the game. How?
Are you kidding me! you want explanation?. You explanation is Arsenal is out of the FA Cup.
Clearly Arsene got his sight set on the EPL and CL. I don't blame him for fielding a weakened team. More experience for the youger players coming through the ranks.
Remember the year when MU didn't even enter the FA cup competition?
Wenger was quick to criticise Mick McCarthy for fielding a weak team against Man United a few weeks back - double standards?
Exactly, honest fan.
i mean, it is the FA cup, but true, it's not the carling cup
the only thing that is difficult about what wenger did is the next four matches he has in the EPL they arent decisive but they are very important
A bird in hand is better than two in the bush. He caused his team out of the Carling similar way, now FA Cup and I don't thing he can win the Premier League. Already today they get draw with Aston Villa.
haaaaa im so late but i swear i ranted for a whole 45 minutes at least to a poor friend who caught the match with me.okay the fielding of players, IMO, is the biggest factor contributing to the lost. but then again, the fielding of players can be justified, especially looking into the next 4 dixtures of the EPL.

ok the bad part, for me, about the fielding was..
wenger put eastmond at DM. yea he did a great job in the previous game but clearly(and even wenger said this), he got tired in that second half. obviously he isnt ready to be played against a very strong and also fast team like stoke. and tru enough, he couldn't protect the back four well at all, he couldnt disrupt play..etc.

and then you put one lousy cb(i think you know who im talking about, and an old, slow, beaten hero who has only played one game (reserve game) before this. to add to that, you put coquelin, a player from the youth team. the only guy fit AND experienced that frequently plays in EPL games was traore (among the back 4).

to add, you put fabianski in goal (his performance last season just left me with a very bad impression on him that i cant erase)

and the the midfielders, well yea fabregas and denilson, quite balanced! up front, hmm looks okay too!

performance then played a part.

i think a hellota players underperformed during that game. vela and walcott OBVIOUSLY underperformed. walcott better get his act together soon. he's not getting any younger and he should be reminded that he's wearing 14.

fabregas couldnt work his magic, but i dont blame him. you can't expect a guy to comfortably work the ball with his magic when the stability of the team is in shambles. possession was horrible, passing was horrendous.
and can't expect him to carry out his attacking duties when he has to get back to support the defense all the time.

JEt was invisible, thats coz in the first half he was tasked more of a camping target man but the ball simply didnt reach him. in the second half i think wenger put him deeper and then you can see him getting a few more touches.

well, all to all, you could see that the team just didnt function well. and for arsenal to play a smooth passing and fluent game(beauty and highest in tactical/technical prowess), the basics must be fulfilled first(passing, possession etc) or else it can never happen. its apparent in the mancity game too early this season. and also, alot of arsenal's defense is in the possession, lose it and bam its gone, the backup plan for defense(the back 4) was also weak so yea.
Fabianski had a terrible game he didn't know whether he was coming or going far too indecisive...
Oh and I thought Sol played well good to see him back!
i really think introducing the three subs was too much. the quality deteriorated precipitously. it was the welshmens miscue that led to the second goal. after that traore was just waiving his arms about like a huge puff as usual, making noise...
I was really disappointed with the results here. I really dont understand why Wenger always plays the reserve squad against teams in the FA Cup, i mean its kinda a big deal? no? And besides our defence was poor, Fabianski is a disgrace, (Mannone is better than him) Silvestre is not a strong enough and Campbell played reasonably ok for his first game, although i beleive he could have jumped higher for the second goal.

And we REALLY need to improve our attack, we NEED some new strikers with all the injuries we have, Vela just isnt good enough yet, and the other striker just didnt make an impact. I mean COME ON its the bloody FA CUP for gods sake. Play at least SOME of our first team players.

I do not want to see this happening again in any competitions if we are going for the title.
there are some schools of thought, wenger has a lot of injuries to deal with, ok, he doesn't start arshavin and starts fabragas? whats the difference if you play your best players why not just play them all? or you just never take out the kids and truly let them sort it. we can never know...
i dint even check the highlights, Silvestre is just bad news... last year he knocked us out of the Champs League and now the FA Cup, thnx ass face. we seriously need a striker ASAP, Vela aint impressive though i like him, Eduardo is alone upfront and isnt really up to the task, Campbell was okayish... waay better than Silvesgay. get him out PLEASE. hope we do well in the next couple of games, CMON U GOONERS
