I was hoping for a boring Italian side but i guess it's gonna be a fight. See you tomorow.
Ok now we can shipped back to Manchester Ballottelli, he really prove himself once again; the boy got a big mouth and a very small brain...before the start of the tournament he was bragging about what a great player he is and how few people in the world have his talent

he always speaks crap like that. He is good but thats it the way he goes on is like he scores 30+ goals a season man. I think he did well doe in this match but f****d up by waling to cassilas and practically asking to get tackled.
Di Natale, remember these guy. The man that nearly kill arsenal single handedly in the CL qualification...nice game. Interesting spain line up..

You know Di Natale favours his left foot also, although he is good with both feet.

The brilliant finish against Spain was with the right foot....against Casillas. He is a great player.
Bout to be a great f*****g tournament!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a great match up to see, was a good game, finishing happens and it doesn't. There were missed chances forsure. The italy Di Natale goal was fantastic finish, really beautiful shot and looked great for Italy. But Fabregas who a surprise start had a fantastic finish, amazing pass by Silva and smash. Both goals beautiful. Nice to see. Balotelli chance he just didn't think, he should have just shot. But man I feel bad for Torres, he deserved a goal for sure! He came on and just made an immediate impact, the one on one was just great read by Buffon a top goalie, but ya just if Torres went left would being goal, then the chip over the goalie, that was just unlucky and sucks, but o well it happens. Torres deserves a start and a couple goals he really isn't as bad as everyone thinks, everyone just puts him down, its just too bad for him. He just needs a few goals in a start vs Ireland or something. He will get them.

You know, I had long grown a big distaste for Italy's game, but they might yet make a convert out of me. This was a good game. i wonder though where is cavani?
Edinson Cavani is Uruguayan.

actually he is italian to through his paternal grandfather
I'm amazed of some people here, talking s**t about a "Boring or Poor Game" from Spain...

What kind of weird point of view these people have?

This was a great game with a lot of talent demonstrated by the 2 teams! It was very enjoyable and well defended and attacked!
Clever, not like some of your comments.

Anyway, keep enjoying this Tournament, it is quite exciting!!

What the hell happened to Torres ??!! He squandered two golden opportunities !! He's becoming one of the worst strikers in Europe.. Its quite sad to see him in this condition !!
The Press put him in that state, he is still a great striker and he is in a great form at the moment, he brought those opportunities and everybody can miss.. you will see!
He will have to start and have a whole game to do his brilliant work, he came on and made a immediate impact with those chances, but didn't get the luck of finishing the chip I hoped he would have scored.

Yes, yes, I feel bad for him, and it seems he has fallen in this vicious circle, where his play impacts his morale, which impacts again his play. I miss the old Torres, and I feel he has lost his joy and confidence for so long..
Poor game by Spain. These anti-football tactics of playing without a striker are really boring to watch. Spain has evolved football apparently but the only part of football they have improved is youth development with their abundance of world class players. Could learn a few lessons from how England play ;)
seriously, did you watch england vs france. that was boring as f**k

dumbest thing ive ever read in this site. "Could learn a few lessons from how England play" thats funny as hell xD
torres is much worse than balotelli for sure but a fair result is acceptable.

This was a great game to watch, in my opinion. Italy proved, that they are still a great football squad, after the 2010 WC and all the conflict surrounding some players prior to the Euros. Italy played really well, and Pirlo made a great difference in how Italy played and possessed/controlled the ball. Balotelli had a great chance. He is a great player, but he is still young. Maturity will come to him in time.

As for Spain, Spain is Spain. They're a class football team whose game revolves around quick, simple passes mixed with the outstanding technical abilities of their squad. The only thing I noticed is, much like Barcelona, sometimes they ping the ball around too much. Possession is a great thing to have, but passing the ball 30 times, while not striking a cutting ball, will not get the team behind the defense. Also, Barcelona, in the game against Chelsea did not change their style. They needed to score, but kept playing possession. Sometimes you need to put the ball in the box and hope for a goal. Spain is awesome, do not get me wrong. I just think it would suite them if they looked for more cutting, slicing balls to players like Llorente or Torres, who can beat defenders with not only skill, but strength, size and speed.
Respect to both squads

The problem with Barcelona is they don't have a plan B. Sure, maybe they could've tried crossing balls into the box but besides their back line they have few players that have the height and skill in the air to convert a lofted ball. Chelsea was just a taller squad so Barca had little choice other than to continue their usual tactics in hopes of some flash of brilliance (and some better luck, considering how many times they hit the woodwork between the two legs). Spain, though is much more diverse and Del Bosque needs to push for a more diverse tactical skill set to reflect that, instead of falling back on the predictable (but effective, for the most part) tiki taka football. I 100% agree that Torres and Llorente should get more play time instead of relying on the cookie-cutter Barcelona offense. Seriously, why the hell did Fabregas get the start over those two? He has basically the exact same skill set as Xavi, Iniesta, and Silva. Why not throw in a Torres or Llorente who provide a whole different dimension to Spain's attack?

Also, Sergio Ramos's new haircut is boss. Can't believe he waited this long to cut off those dreadful locks.

the probblem: both goals today were remarkable, but if i were to pick the goal of the week it would be Di Natales, becuase the goal of the week should be based on the finish and hands down his finish was better. But if i were to pick the play of the week it would be FĂ bregas, Silva's pass was brilliant. Both were equal in my book
Whatever tinkering Prandelli does before the next match, Di Natale should be in the starting 11. Meanwhile, Llorente seems to be the best option for Spain up top.
What a game! Really entertaining! And who thought Italy would put up a fight like this! Great job...Di Natale!!!
Silva's assist was astonishing.
