This is a great match up to see, was a good game, finishing happens and it doesn't. There were missed chances forsure. The italy Di Natale goal was fantastic finish, really beautiful shot and looked great for Italy. But Fabregas who a surprise start had a fantastic finish, amazing pass by Silva and smash. Both goals beautiful. Nice to see. Balotelli chance he just didn't think, he should have just shot. But man I feel bad for Torres, he deserved a goal for sure! He came on and just made an immediate impact, the one on one was just great read by Buffon a top goalie, but ya just if Torres went left would being goal, then the chip over the goalie, that was just unlucky and sucks, but o well it happens. Torres deserves a start and a couple goals he really isn't as bad as everyone thinks, everyone just puts him down, its just too bad for him. He just needs a few goals in a start vs Ireland or something. He will get them.

You know, I had long grown a big distaste for Italy's game, but they might yet make a convert out of me. This was a good game. i wonder though where is cavani?

What the hell happened to Torres ??!! He squandered two golden opportunities !! He's becoming one of the worst strikers in Europe.. Its quite sad to see him in this condition !!

Poor game by Spain. These anti-football tactics of playing without a striker are really boring to watch. Spain has evolved football apparently but the only part of football they have improved is youth development with their abundance of world class players. Could learn a few lessons from how England play ;)

torres is much worse than balotelli for sure but a fair result is acceptable.

This was a great game to watch, in my opinion. Italy proved, that they are still a great football squad, after the 2010 WC and all the conflict surrounding some players prior to the Euros. Italy played really well, and Pirlo made a great difference in how Italy played and possessed/controlled the ball. Balotelli had a great chance. He is a great player, but he is still young. Maturity will come to him in time.

As for Spain, Spain is Spain. They're a class football team whose game revolves around quick, simple passes mixed with the outstanding technical abilities of their squad. The only thing I noticed is, much like Barcelona, sometimes they ping the ball around too much. Possession is a great thing to have, but passing the ball 30 times, while not striking a cutting ball, will not get the team behind the defense. Also, Barcelona, in the game against Chelsea did not change their style. They needed to score, but kept playing possession. Sometimes you need to put the ball in the box and hope for a goal. Spain is awesome, do not get me wrong. I just think it would suite them if they looked for more cutting, slicing balls to players like Llorente or Torres, who can beat defenders with not only skill, but strength, size and speed.

the probblem: both goals today were remarkable, but if i were to pick the goal of the week it would be Di Natales, becuase the goal of the week should be based on the finish and hands down his finish was better. But if i were to pick the play of the week it would be Fàbregas, Silva's pass was brilliant. Both were equal in my book

Whatever tinkering Prandelli does before the next match, Di Natale should be in the starting 11. Meanwhile, Llorente seems to be the best option for Spain up top.
