I don't know how Sky potentinally losing the rights would effect me like it will for all the people in England, but all im happy is that I get a few EPL sports games here in Canada on tv from Sportsnet having a couple (and could buy Sportsnetworld for more games and will one day) and tsn2 a couple too a weekend, those are good to have but as a Chelsea fan not all games our on tv on the channels, but when they are its amazing to watch on HD 52" tv, brilliant, and if not I still watch game, but just sucks to watch on online streams which isn't as good, but i guess we will see what happens, I like how Canada has a few games, but would be nice to have them all. Some one could fill me out about what the new potential broadcast would do different.
Sky and ESPN have the monopoly, so they charge crazy prices. People are charged around £35 a month which is equivalent to around £10 per game you watch. (If you only watch your team every week). None the less it's regressive and breeds inefficiency. There needs to be more competition, more people covering the game. This forces higher efficiency and the people benefit from cheaper prices. That way more people are willing to watch the game instead of resort to online streams.
Watching on HD tv is way better then online streams on web for sure, its just way more crisp and clear and better to watch, but if Chelsea not on tv here, I watch online, its not as good at all. I live in canada so don't have all games, but would love to go to England and see Stadiums and Chelsea live!
there's nothing worse than sky owning the premier league. i cant take the fact that they are trying to overtake all the sports. im already devastated that f1 has already gone to sky. please no
