Watching: Paul Parry's first-half volley helped Shrewsbury beat Walsall and move out of the League One relegation zone. Walsall were repeatedly frustrated as Shrews' goalkeeper Chris Weale made a number of saves to deny the visitors. Weale twice denied Jamie Paterson and then Adam Chambers before Parry found the net from close range after Asa Hall's shot hit the crossbar. Andy Butler headed against the crossbar for Walsall, Weale denied George Bowerman and Parry hit the bar late on. Shrewsbury, who claimed their first win in six matches from all competitions, moved up to 15th in the table, while Walsall remain 11th, four points off a play-off place.
