The way people are going on about things here. Its so biased its not funny. Firstly madrid are a new look team. the madrid players were not even hyped up about this match. im sure half of them were wondering if they will still play for madrid. secondly ronaldo is used to playing in a system were the team accomodates its self for him, here he needs to adjust. on the other hand rovers were playing the so called galacticos, so they would play their hearts out. Speaking on Benzema HE is going to be absolutely brilliant for madrid, i keep on wishing united signed him. And last but not least, why. . .just why are the guys hitting at ronaldo. Fergie understands why he's gone but you don't. he's the manager, you guys are just fans, he knows better then both of us.

Benzema's first touch on that long pass from about 20 feet behind the halfway line was really nice. He got the shot off just in time.

Real should have had that in the bag in the first half easy! And if Ronaldo wanted to perform he would but he has a different manager, different hierarchy system and different team mates. Fergie is all about team and he makes sure that your whole life isn't splashed acrossed the newspaper. Ronaldo is sure gonna miss playing with his manu pals cos it's different to any country and vice versa. Well enough about him...Rovers did well to keep it a low scoring game props to them!

I don't think that ronaldo should be criticized by manutd fans...HE was one of the main reasons that utd were getting trophies..he did more than he should have there...and i hate people bulshiting him because he left utd. It was his decision and tahts that,,,,...he is still the best player in the world and he doesn't have to show it in every game he plays.

There is way too much manchester united hate for ronaldo on here. Relax and wait for him to actually play some competitive games after gelling with the squad befre venting your ill-deserved spite and ire, as you inevitably will even if he scores 100 goals in his first season.

Almost everyone of you ppl are idiots i cant believe you actually thought ronaldo and real were going to go out there and play like this was some sort of champions league match or something its a friendly match against the shamrock rovers lol you need to save the ronaldo criticism until about five games into REGULAR season play.. do any of you actually watch football or know anything about how its played!?!? i dont even like madrid or ronaldo but i had to comment on how stupid and naive most of you are....
