as much as im glad united did so well by beating sounders 7:0, i feel bad that this might be bad for american football.
its good to know that footy is very popular in seatle and their team showed as much quality as any other european team (minus the 7 goals conceded due to lacking quality in defense)..

before the match, I heard a report that if the U.S could produce a team to beat Man U, it would be the sounders, then I watched the game and laughed all day lol.......

The big difference I noticed was that the Sounders took too many shots from far out and Man U actually PASSED the ball before taking their shots. Typical of American soccer.

I expected more out of Seattle and I know they are a great football club but definitely not in the same level as a very well established club like Manchester United... It's not that Seattle played very crappy... It's more like Manchester United playing absolutely wonderful football... I'm looking forward for their season... As of to the Sounders... Keep your head up high... This is a friendly against a very mighty powerful club...

What people don't realize is that either way, both clubs will come away with something out of this game win or lose... For Manchester United it's the preparation for their next season... For Seattle, it's the honor of playing a club like this one...

Stop bashing Seattle for getting defeated like they did... If they won, good for them defeating the likes of Manchester United... But either way it's a friendly... People here act as if they are surprised by the performance of the European giant... If anything, I'm surprised that Seattle played the way they did... Either way, it was entertaining...
