did anyone else catch the guy in the background, towards the end? 'he has got game!'
LOL Now I know why I'm not a footballer lol I'm left handed and forced myself to do "David Beckham's" growing up .. How I regret it ! :/
I'm just waiting for some git to make another unfunny remark about Arsene Wenger and youngsters.
haha we all know we're doing that with our sons too. including intentionally making them be left footed!

That's nature my friend, genetics. You can't train someone to become left or right footed.

i disagree with u there (Vishal024). I'm a right handed person genetically but since i was seven in school my friend were trained to kick with our left feet to balance the team. today i play with my left foot but i still am a write handed person...i can neva take a penalty with my right foot!

That's awesome.

What a great idea, forcing kids to become a certain foot to meet the needs of the team...

Wenger, I think your U-9 team coaches should talk with this guy.

Actually, its not a bad idea to ask kids to use their weaker foot. I always played with my right foot and my left foot is quite useless other than for small passes. Players who can use both their feet are more versatile, can play on both wings and sometimes end up becoming all rounders which are rare to find.

Bale was forced to use his right foot when he was a kid because he was murdering everyone with his lethal left foot.

Nadal is right handed but was taught to play tennis left handed to give him an advantage over other players. Genetics my arse!!!

I too can personally attest to forcing left handedness -- when I was a kid playing basketball I realized no one ever expected a left handed drive, now I shoot right handed and have a move to the center from the right side like Arjen Robben (:p), weird thing is that I can jump much higher with my right foot now (most right handers use left foot primarily), and drive into the lame much faster from that side.
