great great team work from totenham! both goals were amazing from VdV!

Tottenham's second goal was a classic example of counter attacking football...i really enjoyed that one!

this was a great game all around!

wow brilliant holiday for tottenham first villa now newcastle!
gomes is one of the most hit and miss keepers in the league just behind almunia and fabianski
i would put him above fabianski...he's had some gaffs on par with the one and only Jens Lehmann
Well, first of all, the 2nd goal was all bale's work! he's a bloody machine!!!
Then, Van der Vaart is such a great footballer, I loved him back in the day with Hamburg and now I love him again with the Spurs BUT there is his old injury problem. He gets injured all the time but the good thing is, as soon as he is fit again, he is in top form!

And the red card was harsh, but I think you CAN give it, because in modern football it is not allowed to have your elbows out like this. that's what the FIFA says, and (unfortunatly) what the FIFA says is right!
might be a stretch for this season, but next season spurs will definitely challenge for the title. just need a little more investment in defense. maybe replace gomes.

bale vdv modric...wow...what a midfield lineup

I'm in the midst of a crisis! I don't know what vdv goal to vote for? They were both beautiful team work!

Amazing VDV!! he is perfect for the English premier league as well!
Fantastic goals, very energetic game. Both sides were evenly matched.
VDV is just unstoppable...when it comes to signings in the Prem this year, probably he's the one who's having the most impact so far...
Could be the single best signing...second goal is perfection...textbook.

wow the second goal was just excellent.

tottenham are really interesting, they can make such great matches but they could as well just mess up with their defense .. hope they can fix that problem

Last year, third tightest defence in the Premiership after Chelsea and Man U - this year, injuries have taken their toll but soon it'll be all good!
