Great game by both Benzema and Ozil. The 2nd and 3rd goal for Madrid are just sweet... Benzema should have had another assist though

i think modric should not have left. when i see him play in la liga, he gets pushed around like a rag doll. not impressed with him as i was in the premier league.

i'm pretty sure the EPL is a more physical league than la Liga. if he can handle himself in the premier league i'm sure he'll be fine at Madrid.

agreed. But they were for his type, they couldn't get silva, so they got th best closest to silva. but still, amongst ronaldo, ozil, benzema, di maria, ramos....Modric is simply tiny...in metaphorically and literally.

Madrid dominated this game.

Benzema and Ozil passes so accurate and perfectly timed.
Ozil unbelievable control of ball.
Benzema should assist more because his finishing isn't so great.

Valladolid didn't really play well. First goal was lucky drop to forward. Second goal was sloppy Madrid defending; how on earth was the same forward allowed to head the ball right in front of goal.

okay maybe it's just my opinion. Benzema is an awesome forward (gotta admit that hands down lolz), but I still think he throws away too many chances in front of goal.

Our set piece defending was abysmal. Two goals, out of six corners. How?? And then despite the two early concessions, Mourinho had the balls to sub off Nacho and Arbeloa for Di Maria and Modric! We had Benzema, Ozil, Modric, Callejon, Cristiano, and Xabi Alonso all on the field at the same time with only Khedira, Ramos and Pepe as true ball-winners in a de-facto 2-3-3-2 formation, which became more of a 3-5-2 after Varane came on for Benzema. I would love to see an in-depth tactical analysis of this game!

Valladolid had four shots on target the entire game, two of them from outside the box. Madrid had thirteen, not even including the wrongly disallowed goal. This should have been a shut-out had it not been for Madrid's bad luck.
