How is it possible that a penalty is called on a great defense play. It was a hard challenge, but the defender went for the ball.

average stuff by madrid ,marseille really played into their hands .The goalkeeper had no reason to come out for the first goal but c.r finished well and showed composure.Diawara had no complaints really gifted that penalty ,loved that bicycle kick y Benzama looking good and chris naldo showed some good footwork.

I would say if Real have to maintain this run, then all depends on Kaka and Xabi Alonso. They need to keep providing the forwards, be it Raul or Benzema or Higuain. And they will also need to backup the defense. The match against Sevilla tonight will see where Real stand.

My opinion of Ronaldo is changing. He is definitly still one of the best in the world. Madrid have a very good chance to play in front of a home crowd for the UEFA cup.

No, No, Diawara took the ball, and he actually took the ball before he took the player, so its just a corner. Just look at 2:18 at the Sapo.pt video and it shows reqally clearly.
it definitely is not a penalty. the defender made contact with the ball first before hitting ronaldo. diawara was hard done by in this match (and i don't think he intended to foul benzema too)
