When did any of the people critisising the referee ever take take charge of a match themself? With the advantage of video replay it is clear that Bosingwa attempts only to push Wright Phillips off the ball to prevent him going one on one with Cech as he can't match his speed. Drogba's double footed challenge although clumsy is serious foul play and must be punished accordingly. The referee's positioning for both incidents was perfect to see what had occurred and he should be congratulated for being able to make such accurate decisions quickly.

I agree with you. Both men behaved like thugs and deserved to be punished accordingly.
looks properly fixed.
Bosingwa should not have been red-carded. Speaking of which, did he play today? I'm pretty sure he did. What the?
Chelsea got robbed so bad! there was 2 clear penalties Lampard and luiz... David Luiz is a great defender, he could easily be an emrgency foward.
The ref needs to get laid real bad!!! He showed the anger of his loneliness on Chelsea.....too bad for such a great club that a dumbass was refing the game
I think Chelsea deserved one penalty (Lampard last one). The other two should've been yellow carded if anything. QPR's penalty was legitimate and Drogba's challenge was a red. Bosingwa's was questionable, but if he called a foul, I think he has to show the red. But was it a foul? In strict terms, yes, because of shirt pulling, but how many times have we not seen that given?

But overall I felt the ref was bold, had a lot to deal with, and made MOST of the calls right.
Its not about right, its about consistency. He gave 2 light yet valid and respectable penalty on one end, and failed to do so on ours. Decent ref, just biased and/or lacks consistency.
I know we have all seen those types of penalty calls within the last year(Arsenal v. Liverpool). Nobody likes them but they are given regularly. Bit of a dive but also contact from the defender without even being close to the ball. From the expression on Drogba's face it's pretty clear that he knew he was going into the book. Two feet, studs up and you are gone any day of the week. Tough match but Chelsea were by far the better squad and just unlucky.
Ref definitely had a shocker!
Cole and Terry should have been sent off too...other decisions were fine.
I see 64 manure-ted fans have voted rubbish for chelsea. I think their on the wrong page. I think it's page 666666666 where they have to vote for the rubbish team. lolololol 666666666. By the way has anybody seen that new movie Six and the City.

although the pundits were critical towards david luiz i do think he is a good defender and of course a great attacker as well
that was not a penalty
People may think it sounds bitter but sometimes you do wonder whether there is something sinister going on in football. Either that or football's turning into a non-contact sport. The referee applied one set of rules to QPR and another to Chelsea.

But still Chelsea completely outplayed QPR with 9 men and could have won it. Bring on Arsenal! We'll give them a battering if we play like this.
I think the ref had a good game, chelsea made hi make decisions that could go either way, their complaints for a penalty were garbage but chealsea definatly would have won with 11 men, i thought they played great.
come on chelsea, show us what you've got
I hope Chris Foy loses his good night sleeps for a while because of this sort of refereing.
referring to ?
LooooooooooooooooooooooLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
GOOD GAME WT 9 MAN
stupidest ref i've ever seen. red cards and the penalty kick were absolutely wrong decision. a blatantly clear prejudice here. FIFA should review this f*****g ref's decision-making. it ruins the whole game

Agreed. It was quite unbelievable officiating to say the least, especially in a derby game.

On a positive note. I was glad to see David Luiz go for that bike. Quite a sight from the Brazilian centre-back. Like Sturridge,I think he deserves all the starts he receives and fights for his roster position. Great to see in the next generation of Blues. : )
Sorry lads,

The ref was spot on.

@churchboy spot on? Are u effing blind or plain retarded LOL
no he's right the ref had a good game, maybe aside fro one or 2 calls. The penalty was right and so were both of the red cards.
really? I dont see how Drogba's tackle is a red when he clearly hits the ball first...
double footed tackle is always a red, drogba could have gone in with one leg, get the ball first and no one can say anything. but no, the idi#$% choose to jump into it with 2 foot IN FRONT of the ref

deserved sent off
