Where do I even begin with this match? As an Ajax supporter, I'm obviously GUTTED that we lost against PSV but then again you look at our goals, and you look at PSV's goals and it was easy to see that the (somewhat) better team won it on the day. Sure most of PSV's players made some horrible tackles and should have been sent off but that just my opinion. Most of Ajax's goals were due to very poor defense while PSV managed to create their own goals and that's something that Ajax failed to do. Ajax kept playing the long ball (perhaps from the english system that Martin Jol might have tried against strong teams at Tottenham?) but we all know that Ajax's strength lies in short, quick passes with running off the ball (as we saw against Waalwijk earlier in the season) so personaly, I think that we needed to have changed philosophy during the game but that didn't happen. I'm still SO depressed that our defense wasn't even a little better to have let us snatch that tie or even win. Great game for the neutral though!
