Unbelievable how Netherlands finished tournament winless, pretty crazy really. I mean the Van Der Vaart goal here only time seemed they could win a game, they couldn't even score vs Denmark and only Van Persie finally got his goal vs Germany but wow very disappointing finishing tournament with only 2 goals in tournament and no goals! But surprised how well Portugal did, well done come back vs Denmark but would being nice if they tied them but good win that game. And what a comeback for Ronaldo after those misses vs Denmark! He finished these 2 goals great and put portugal through, good for him and Portugal.

Ronaldo was Brilliant, have a look at his ball control at 0:7:05, just awesome.
OMG Barcelona supporters are truly s**t, they can talk about anything. why couldnt they see Ronaldo played well and get on with it or just jump in the s**t. he had almost 8 shots, 6 on target, 2 goals, 2 stopped by wood work. two near goal assits (nani, coentrao.) that to against holland and you still talk s**t abt his performance. Ronaldo never been a failure for any team (some best players had only one team for life probably, i always wondered why he was failure for portugal. i guess we found the answer now. this is just a starting. he is still young and will do lot of things for his country.
why Messi is in the way all the time. i never seen any barcelona fan made a comment without messi's name. sore loosers its already started for barcelona and we will see more defeats in the future.

see memes from the euro at dabench.com some of them are actually quite funny and you can post ur own too
ronaldo was sh*t hot!!! destroyed the dutch on his own...
ronaldo 2 - netherlands 1
I'm pretty sure there are plenty other dutch LBs that deserve to be at Euro than Jetro Willems
Let's just say the oranje is over rated.
Jao Moutinho is so underrated. Such a great technically gifted passer of the ball. And only 25, maybe another CM United should be looking at?
Back then I was pretty confused that he wasn't included in the squad of WC 2010. People like Ruben Amorim got nominated instead, lol. Glad to see him back on top.

the dutch had a decent first 15 min and then Ronaldo happened. Wonderful individual performance but full credit to the portugese midfield that totally stifled the opponents. They made the dutch look like amateurs

Well done Portugal. Just watch the second goal Portugal takes the ball the ball off Holland's forward by pressuring him and blocking and possible options for him to pass and then their right off to attack, of course Moutinho with his magnificent vision finds Nani who pace is just to much for them and of course Ronaldo finishes it off. That pressure, quick transition and vision just all in that one play just sums up the whole game. Great unity from the team helping each other out and keeping their head up even when they were down one goal.

I agree. Now we just need Cristiano to (just) perform on a regular level. His problem with the Seleccao is his lack of a constant "delivery". One stellar performance doesn't justify loads and loads of weak ones.

Sure, he's got what it takes but if Varela didn't score that goal against Denmark all the pressure and blame would've piled on him even more, probably resulting in leaving the tournament at this early stage.

I'm not asking for miracles here, just for an average performance (which would suffice against most teams in the world) on a regular basis. Let's hope for more games like yesterday. Forca Portugal!

All this CR7 hating from Barca fans is really annoying, its making u look like a bunch of bitter haters. A club with a history as great as Barca deserves better fans. The haters are making your club look bad.

Portugal was up to the mark, clinical with the counter attacks. sadly, i expected a better performance from 2010 world cup's runner up. Most of players on the dutch side didnt play well, only the goalkeeper & VDV were remarkable. On the other side,i have to admit C.Ronaldo was superb, 2 nice finishes. Nani also played a good game, except he was unlucky with his shots. Lets just hope that Portugal show us a better performance in the next round

Let's be sure you can say Holland didn't have ambition to win this tournament nor was the team spirit there. That's one thing, but to say this and that player has to go is another. The way the Dutch played in the WC 2010 compared to this year's Euro is no different. They're whole team is full of selfish players except for Sneijder. The only difference was the shots they took in the world cup went in. They were hit no further no less harder and all from the same areas. So they road that high to the final.

Portugal and Ronaldo showed up and they rightfully won.
