Amazing defending by everton
Playin like Man U now... Scrapin 1-0 wins but 3 points is 3 points and thats what your playin for so get in Everton... Also thanks to Man u for selling Saha whom is proving to be a quality player as he was in his fulham and early man utd days.....
Heitinga is a great passer
Portsmouth shud hav got a point at least, they were very unlucky.
Saha showed great potential at utd at scored some great goals for us.Everyone knows his quality hes just plagued by injuries.Hopefully he stays fit and bangs in a couple in a merseyside derby :-)
Unluckiness for Portsmouth....
well Saha is on fire....at oldtrafford he doesn't show any thing now he had 7 goals in his 7 appearences
GREAT RESULT FOR EVERTON,WE RODE OUR LUCK AT TIMES.PORTSMOUTH DESERVED AT LEAST A POINT OUT OF IT.I HOPE POMPEY CAN BUILD ON THIS AND REACH SAFETY.PIENAAR WILL BE A BIG LOSS TO US,LET'S HOPE THE INJURY IS NOT TOO SERIOUS!
Unlucky pompey :(...
and great goal by saha.
Everton definitely got lucky there, Portsmouth got tons of chances but were unlucky not to finish off with a goal.
Ratings:
Howard - 8 (Couple of great saves, one of the savior of Everton)
Heitinga - 6.5 (Other than that great assist, none was shown, he almost conceded a penalty when he pushed two Portsmouth players. Passes intercepted too often.)
Yobo - 7 (Some great defensive works there)
Distin - 7 (Same with Yobo)
Baines - 8 (Some good crosses and free kicks, and also cleared a goal of the line.)
Osman - 6 (No where at all)
Fellaini - 7.5 (Some great passes and headers on target.)
Rodwell - 5.5 (Did he play? Same as Osman, and he got a yellow card, so I deducted 0.5 points.)
Pienaar - 7 (Had a great game until he got stretchered off with an injury. God, when will this stop?)
Cahill - 7 (Two great golden header chances but all well saved by James)
Saha - 8 (Scorer of a brilliant goal, always finding spaces, always going to the left to find spaces, great player.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Subs:
Bilayletdinov - 7.5 (Subsituted in for the injured Pienaar and had a terrific 30 min, free kicks and corner were threatening.)
Hibbert - 6 (Didn't really see him since he came in the last 10 min only for Osman.)
Jo - 6.5 (He came in at 89th min but really hardworking and won a corner.)
First of all I'm pissed about that horrible late challenge on Peanuts

Second, many evertonians have said that Moyes tends to issue a negative approach in games such as this when it seems we lack the cutting edge to finish games off. But really I just think Pompey played with spirit and Fratton Park is hard to play in anyways. We did have several shots after Saha's dopeness...collectively the toffees didn't have a wonderful game, but doesn't that in turn display quality in grinding out a win?

We've showed the killer instinct in Europe, so I feel it'll soon translate domestically.
thats cruel luck on porsmouth
wow. saha seems to be making headlines this season!
good on him, i always thought he was a brilliant player
