Everton really need some investment
Now I guess I have seen it all, I can simply say that the premium league maybe the worlds best league, but guess what ...it is not that advance or much better from the MLS, and no matter what anyone says about my comment, what I saw on these friendly matches was a valid proof
-Everton lost to philadelphia union,
-Newcastle tied with kansas
-Timbers almost beat West brom
-And the man-city of all team just got luck and won by one goal.

..thats my story and I am sticking to it. GO MLS
Killllladelphhhh!

Yup, our (American) commentators are awful. I think its just part of the growing pain's of the sport in this country. Hopefully it will trend out as the game flourishes, and we get commentators who don't wish they were working in hockey or US football.

I've got to say Philadelphia has a class pair of commentators for their games. They have intellectual input and good analysis of the game. I agree that there are a hot mess of shitty announcers, there are some really good ones. +rep to the union for beating everton btw, our youth players are looking good which means the sun will shine brightly on PPL Park!

Is it that MLS really sucks or the fact that it was too hot?
2 hot to breathe
tht commentator was acting like a 5 year old. everton's keeper jersey is quite unique, but i think in a bad way.
what a biased commentator

M. Bison: "YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!!"

American commentator: "YES!!!!!!! YES!!!!!"

*deep sigh* Just when I thought MLS was going to become entertaining with their new signings and improved players, I heard this guy commentate.
Yeah American commentators suck :( makes the games harder to watch

They are the local commentators. This was not a national broadcast. I mean god forbid they show some emotion when a 17-year-old academy player scores in front of an 18k + crowd. You people are impossible.

Pretty sluggish match to be honest, good for the Union though, they almost fully replaced their 11 men at halftime. Great for those young players. Shame for both teams the whole Eastern United States felt like an oven yesterday.
Wow Philadelphia Union
"Yes, yes, hahahaha"

lmao
U.S. commentators make me cringe sometimes, European commentary seems to be more about narration than what seems to be play by play with adjectives and excitement more attributed to other popular sports in this country. I like fluid narration a lot more. The audio of many MLS matches I've watched sounds hokey. Honorable mention for Harkes at least trying to pronounce things correct though, from what I've heard, that is.

That guys laugh is funny... hahahahahaaaaa......hahahahahaaaaaaaaaa......hahaaa
Yeah, they're the backups to the normal Union broadcasting crew. Bob Rigby was the goalkeeper for the Philadelphia Atoms from back when they won the NASL championship. You guys should listen to how Taylor Twellman and JP Dellacamara call a Union match. They're still very American (as in they have accents and use words that you will probably object to, because we all know how much you hate hearing things like "soccer" and "hustle"), but they're damn good at what they do. American commentators probably won't ever sound like their English counterparts, much like how Mexican commentators are very different from the Spaniards. But they WILL get better, just with their own distinct style.

It's weird that Americans don't grief about english commentary I mean it seems one sided. Don't englishmen sound strange to Americans, at least in the terms of dialect? I mean the nuetral bradcast english, not the middle and lower class accented english, like Scouse,Geordie, Manc, Yorkshire, Brummie, and Cockney accents.. Shaz is dead right about American english being so different to British english. I listened some commentary from Australian A-league and their commentary is more crazy than American lol.
