Great Show by Frey; Guardiola should have bought him, instead of keeping Valdez. It almost happened, it would have be a perfect match.

Honestly, I think Lisandro is a better player than Benzema! Every time he gets on the ball he looks threatening, whereas Benzema tends to fade in and out of games. Benzema is too inconsistent and for me, is still flattering to deceive at Real. The only thing that could really derail Lyon is a lack of depth; the first XI has quality with serious implications, but the bench is a bit thin.

with this match, i can firmly say that frey is one of the best goalkeepers at the moment. it could have been at least 3 or 4-0...what a keeper, i wonder why he is still at fiorentina, maybe he is extreamly underestimated....because there's no other explication.... i'd pay over 15-20 milions to have him at Arsenal...
btw good performance by lyon...it seems that the benzema departure didn't weakened the squad.

Lyon seem very strong even though they don't have Juninho Pernambucano or Karim Benzema any more.

Lyon has got the squad to shine in Europe this altho Fiorentina were one man down , they showed great tean work and were dangerous at several occasions

Nice finish by Pranjic and I agree with KingOmar and SeanToon that it could have been 3-0 if that brilliant goalkeeping from Frey hadn't kept Lyon out. He is an awesome goalkeeper, but unfortunately because he doesn't play for a top profile tem he hasn't got as much credit for his ability. Good win for Lyon though.

Keep an eye on Pjanic, he could be very big someday.
