This was just a result of Faroe Islands lacking in defense and keeping. Northern Ireland played some beautiful chopping dribbling cutting through all the people
well played
just look at the mans footwork, he beat the defenders with his right, and produced an amazing chip with his left, not too many players that can use both feet effectively, george best was one of them, nuff said.

regardless of the opposition, Mc Courts second strike was SUBLIME

and you can guarantee if he played for Brazil, Germany, Spain or Portugal, this would be Goal of The Week

COME ON GUYS, NOMINATE IT FOR GOAL OF THE WEEK, IT DESERVES IT

First team im hearing of this player. :(

If he is/was this good, why was he never signed by an EPL, LPF, Bundesliga, serie A or ligue 1 team?
He played for Derry City in the League of Ireland, was linked with moves to English championship teams but chose Celtic in the SPL because he supported them as a boy.

hes a very good player when he wants, he does go missing the odd time in games, but hes sublime when he wants to play, great feet and balance, hes as good as anything in the epl on his day, i would like to see him play for a top 4 team in the epl, but paddys happy where he is, and as long as he keeps sticking the ball in the net, and turning in performances like that, he can play wherever he likes..lol

I am going to post this on a few pages so it will get nominated for goal of the week!

wow what a goal by McCourt pure class.
Surprising to see only 13 votes for the goal.
i agree, this should battle for goal of the week. Nice run, huge cut to his left and sick chip shot.
defo the closest i have seen to bestie in a green shirt, i hope paddy can go on from here and cement his place in the team.
i think he was a bit worried at the outset because he was a celtic player, as is nial mcginn, but both are warmly welcomed by the northern ireland fans, and they warmed to it.
