He would be crushed in the EPL (out done physically), and it would completely demoralize him and end his career. He needs seasoning and some tenacity. Strikers that do well in the EPL need to be ready to take on the physical challenge. Look at Drogba and Rooney.
He's like a young strong racehorse..more potential than any young player out there right now...but can he be tamed?? :P....I love to see his highlights, his skills, his flair....I think its smart to stay away from europe or atleast not a team like Barca, Manu, Arsenal, AC yet...more like a Athletico MAD, Napoli, fullham......he aint ready for the the title race:D

long post...

I think it's a good thing that Neymar chose to stay in Brazil instead of accepting offers from Europe. I could name a bunch of players that left Brazil prematurely, didn't do so well, and had to go back. many succeeded but not all of them. the dayhs where Brazilians travel elsewhere and becomes famous outside of Brazil before they make a name for themselves in their homeland will nevr end. However, more players are choosing to stay home.

The fact that Neymar and other players(Lucas from Sao Paulo, Ganso from Santos) decided to stay, plus the return of some proven players(Ronaldo Fenomeno, Robinho, Ronaldinho Gaucho, Wagner Love) to Brazil, speaks volumes about the current state of the Brazilian economy. Granted that some clubs are having trouble keeping up with their payrolls(Flamengo, Vasco)... however clubs in Brazil are getting wiser and seeking partnerships to help pay the salaries of their top players.

Another reason Neymar stay was his family. Think about this for a second... he could go to Europe and make a lot of money, and be away from his family, friends and not have full command of the local language OR be home near everybody he loves, getting paid very well(with the help of sponsors)... Europe can wait a little.

about the comments on the Brazillian Club's defense... Yes they are not as solid as they should be, but you guys are taking some credit away from the opposing team's ability to get through it.

I think Neymar will go to Europe either one seaon before the 2014 World Cup or right after it.
he will become a good player if he work more on on game rather than show off .

that's horrable, even though there are beautiful touches from him, but he plays alone.

the song f nonsense
if Neymar played the same way as he does in this game, then I reckon he does more damage than good.. cause he's a just one big show off, but then again brazil leauge is a one big show off in its own way.. Neymar needs to play in europe in order to really show what he's made of and how much he can really contribute for his team.

epic match
Wow. A lot of senseless turnovers in a single game featuring the 2011's "best" goal. Talented, yes, but it appears he's losing the battle against his youth for now.

That is why Ronaldinho ended up schooling him this match

Seems like brazilian clubs dont think a lot of tactics in their game. the defense looks sometimes more like a kindergarten party.
Damn, I would be furious if I had him in my team. Sure he does some things good, but often he holds up the play. And very seldom passes the ball.
But talented? No doubt!

He is actually a pretty great passer when he wants to be, and I think coming to Europe will really bring that out in him. For now, he's just having too much fun (:
