sigh... always respected and admired nolan as a player despite the countless no. of times he has bullied arsenal. he is such a quality player but yet he remains uncapped. he puts in his best, uncompromising and consistently good performances for every season.

his doggedness, determination and positive influence is exactly what the egoistic and headless england national team needs to steer them in the right direction or at least provide some needed leadership.

True British players (and managers, e.g., Allardyce) would never get a chance on the International stage. Too sad.

Actually, Wilshire is the only hope!
nolan has been the best business west ham has done in years.

Not going to live long in the memory, but a win is a win
Classy from Nolan as well not to wheel away and throw it in the Geordies faces, gotta respect that, alot more then i think would be expected from Carroll had he scored

Carroll and Nolan are cut from the same cloth. I can't imagine him pulling a Suarez-style dive celebration.
Nolan. Again. Wish we still had him.
Wish Newcastle still had him. He was a good club captain. He lifted his team-mates attitude...
