If this game was just the highlights reel it'd be one of the best games of the weekend. Unfortunately in terms of the whole 90 minutes it was actually rather dull. Still, it looks like both teams are working up towards something, Newcastle showing flashes of what made them so special last season and Villa looking more solid and actually with ideas. Here's hoping both do well.

Great goal by Ben Arfa, but we were poor throughout so have to be happy with the draw.

This was mainly down to Villa's workrate and speed on the counter, which troubled us throughout.

Everton away next is going to be tough.

Newcastle haven't really found their rhythm yet and having to change the side so often for Europa League is contributing to that lack of fluency.

yea that will be on the highlight reels for this seasons top goals for sure! Ben Arfa really is key to NUFC's season, if he stays healthy the magpies will have a great season! would like to see them make some noise in the Europa League as well!

Ben Arfa is a great player for Newcastle United Football Club, hopefully he can stay there for a long time. He would defenetly help Newcastle United football Club to the Uefa Champions League in the nearby future of the beautiful game.
