We're not talking about Liverpool or Arsenal, we're talking about a player tyhat underrates another one who played better than him.

Kuyt scores goals for the Dutch and Liverpool. As we saw vs Denmark, in a game where Van Persie played less than par. But on a talent and technical level I can see Van Persies' point, but again every play brings a different spark to the pitch.

If Van Persie said this, than he shows no respect for his team mate and also shows that hes rude man who is not a professional football player.
Kuyt is very simmilar to Tevez, they both work hard in every game and put alot of pressure on the defenders, and when they have the chance to score nearly all the time they score.
I actually don't see forwards as good as these two, they have everything, good shooting, good passing, very good stamina, speed, good vision, they hardly get injured, always have a good morale...these guys are true pro's and always very competitive.
You cand always count on these guys.
On the other hand I would not count too much on Van Persie, who is a good striker, good shooter, has a good speed and has a great technique , but he gets injured very fast, he has a low morale, and does not work as hard as these two.
I would have Tevez and Kuyt anytime on my team!

My dear Liverpool fans, take it from a dutchman (and a huge Kuyt fan and also Van Persie, Feyenoord). I'm speaking his language, RVP never said he'd rather see Kuyt on the bench. It's the simple fact how the question is asked by the reporter. How would you like to play? RVP's reply: 'Since we have never played with the "big four" at the same time'. He was talking about Himself in a striker position, Robben as a right winger, van der Vaart on the left, and Sneijder on the number 10 position. He was talking about a lot of creativity (since they never started this way), and you can't deny with a player like Kuyt you're giving in on creativity. Kuyt is a player as we say in dutch "stofzuiger" a vacuum cleaner, he's everywhere on the field, defending, attacking and giving the other side hell. And a lovely player to watch. This is what he said, he never said he wanted to see Kuyt on the bench. You should see the comment Dirk Kuyt gave on RVP, they love each other ;)

Awesome my German friend! I'm Dutch and I think something remarkeable has happened: Germany started in a Dutch way, playing fantastically, and Holland started in a German way doing what's necessary. But we all now that the first-mentioned tactic is often the road to a premature knockout, Holland will grow in this tournament. I hope Robben will be spared and only used from the 8th finals onward. Holland is capable of beating any team, Brazil and Argentina as well.

but someone needs to beat a player to create and extra man situation
this is what robben provides
this is what messi provides.
van persie sometimes but not so much.
some players beat a man like drogba

but you cant win a world cup on those chances.
you need the class that robben brings
or someone like van persie to step up.

and kuyt just doesnt have the natural ability to beat a man you can see it.

Gooner is right, you need SPEED on those wings. Players who can beat a man and create a surplus-situation. That's why I support a base squad with Robben (right ofc, that's where he played with Bayern) and Eljero Elia left. This is a killer squad and will shred any defence to pieces.
