It seems silly to blame a goalkeeper just because he's allowed some goals. The first was a deflection and the second was a result of the defense allowing the wide player too much space to give a good delivery, and Cahill allowing his man to come too far off his back. Joe Hart was at fault for neither, and yet some people are calling for his head.
If English football fans are looking for a scapegoat, they need look no further than themselves; their lack of support for their team is appalling at times, and the amount of pressure they put on their team to perform is absolutely insane.
I'm on the fence about his performance regarding those two goals however. The first goal was a bit suspect. He looked off balance and could only really get a hand to it. Understandable. That's totally fine. It happens. However, we've seen Joe stop those types of shots before. That and he got a hand to it... and he's Joe Hart. So could he have stopped the shot? We can speculate but only he really knows.
