I won't blame Suarez for claiming the goal -- it would be a normal reaction. It's an opportunity, and he is an opportunist (not negative).

It's a shame, though, that he did not take the chance to do the right thing, and change his current non-Liverpool-fans image by being the bigger man.

Oh well... his life, his career, his decision.

I can see everyone's frustration. But yeh can't expect Suarez to call his own, or purposefully miss. By the look on his face, he wasn't trying to act imo.

I am a fan of Suarez but it looks like a deliberate hand-ball to me. It's a shame because Mansfield played very well and they were robbed of a result. Suarez is given a hard time by the media and most of it is unfair but sometimes he just can't help himself.

You can clearly see suarez is trying to pull his arm down and the ball hits him. He kicks the ball in out of frustration, sees it given, kisses his arm which bear his daughters tattooed names (as he does every time he scores) and people blame him, not the refs! They should be the ones on the hot seat, not suarez who does not have the job or duty to call his own fouls!

If luis would have done his gun celebration (hence why they call him el pistolero) then i would agree he is gloating but he didnt. he scored, ref f****d up by not catching the handball what striker would stop and say "oh no i broke a rule lets not count that" fools for thinking that. one of the biggest lessons we teach our kids as coaches is "play the whistle" I heard no whistle until kickoff.

It doesn't take a genius to realize that handball was accidental.

Still remember how suarez defends the ball from going into the net using hand in world cup 2010? That moment was really unacceptable for me despite he had got the punishment. Now, that kind of behavior still remains. I will stay optimistic for his future "performance".

as others said, i won't blame suarez for trying to cheat, every footballer would intend to (henry, maradona, messi or ronaldo have done it) but i don't remember any footballer able to tease and gloat himslef of cheating. this suarez is definetly a weird specimen of racist, diver and cheater

I don't blame Suarez for scoring with the hand! Better footballer have done it, like Henry and Maradona! It is the job of the Referee and Linesman to disallow the goal. But kissing his Hand is pretty stupid! Only a cheat would do this!
