I am delighted in how nowadays it is very common for low crosses (from the wings usually) to pass clearly through the legs of defenders. A direct indication to the lack of perfection and attention to detail in defenders today.

valencia looks good again
I find it strange that many people seem to think that MU can rely on Cleverley's return to get the midfield back strong again.. I mean, he was hardly even mentioned last season, and suddenly they talk like Cleverley is the backbone of MU's midfield?
He had good games early in the season, no doubt, but to put so much hope on him to come back and fix MU's midfield for the rest of the season for title challenge is a bit too much, I think

Since SAF seems to have NO interest in using Berbatov anymore, I think he should sell him to Inter and get Sneijder to MU, with some additional money of course (since Sneijder must cost more than Berba)
With Fletcher and Anderson potentially being out for a long time, I don't see any other way to solve MU's midfield problem than buying an actually world class top calibre midfield such as Sneijder

he was on loan last year and our midfield was s**t all year laast year when scholes was out.

i thought the same thing, that we had too much expectation, but he is a great passer and his movement creates space and helps us retain possession. not only does he retain possession, but he tackles to break up play and distributes the ball well. he's very intelligent and we play more 1-2 passing with him in the side.
nani and rooney combine excellently. we just need another one of those players in centre midfield. also im bent
Well deserved win for United for sure, some nice placement shots on ground goals, 2 by Rooney that nice for him, Nani got other 2 they were cool, they were nice, but I think Wolves goalie was little positioned wronged for the goals but he couldn't do much, nice Wolves got early goal in 2nd but it ok, Rooney 2nd goal was cool though and I not fan of him lol

good win
Welcome back Rooney!
personally I still think that the defence is the worst part of united. It doesnt convince me at all, none of the players do! sorry, just my opinion, but I think there is better than ferdinand or vidic or evans!
worry about ur defence without lahm u guys suck
without vidic, united is nothing.
May be our LB is weak and CB prospects are not up to it.
Only part lagging behind is a proper midfield
I think United's main concern is in their midfield. They really need a playmaker to replace Scholes.

its not accurate to say man u's defence or midfield is weak as a whole, however there certain positions they are currently struggling in. Evra has not been good this season and jones has not yet proven himself as a worthy partner to vidic. But likewise they are seriously lacking one or even two top quality centre mids. Its fair to say though that the strength of their wingers and attack means they're going to get away with conceding every now and then, unlike Liverpool who currently have to record a clean sheet to get a victory.
I agree we are lacking a playmaking central midfielder and we have done for some time now with Scholes' steady decline. Fergie knows that and would have loved to get Modric in the summer but I think he spent his money very wisely in Young, Jones and De Gea. I'm not worried about our defence long term, we have some top quality young defenders who will become stars as they get older. Rafael, Fabio, Smalling and Jones all very young and already playing first team football at the highest level, yeah our defence will be fine.

If Rio gets injured, we're screwed. Can't believe we are relying on Jones so much this season. If we keep him at CM, we have to buy a CB, because we know Evans is a liability. If we bring him back to CB, then we must buy a CM, b/c Cleverley cant do everything there by himself.
i still think that we are lack of creativity in the Midfield. Time to buy new CM
wow valencia! 3 assists nice one valencia:)
