what the hell his carrick doing.manu should fire de gea. he sucks. kagawa's through ball was good.roons goal nice.evra could have scored.roons stole it.
You are obviously not a committed fan to Manchester United. Carrick's been one of our top player for this season. De Gea is still 22, a VERY young age to be playing regularly for a top tier team as a goalkeeper. Stop being critical about them, let's see you do better on the field.
the Rooney/RVP combination is just great! i think RVP wasnt offside there (IMO)
MAN U looks sharp this season, cant wait for their encounter with Real, its gonna be one of the best this season, two great teams going right at it!

Everybody thought Evra's position was under threat. His solution: beast mode in the air

little disappointed that no one has mentioned the main reason for the first goal. outside of a horrible back pass from carrick and a smart move by De to not get sent off, ANDERSON. his horrible pass forward combine with a light jog back on def left it open for the low pass. with that momentary laps over with united dominate... until the 2nd half. United need a Def Engine in the mid to help out. Carrick while a good passer, he makes to many mistakes to start. we need a solid def mid, that would help us to title 20. if we dont i will be more difficult to get to title 20

IF we win the 20th carrick wudv been 1 of the main driving forces behind our season along with rvp. he has been immense. but we do need somebody along the likes of vidal, who will work his socks off all over the field.. im sure the gaffer will strengthen in the summer
Good to have Rooney back in form!! GGMU

Cool to see Southampton have the quick lead but Rooney came back and got a couple goals, expected some more from United but they got the win anyhow.
Lol, how were southampton rubbish, they played barcelona type football in the secondhalf, they couldve won. man utd were worse tbh

wonderful performance from the mighty manchester United 1st half. It was really champagne football. Disallowed goal from RVP and missed hatrick chance by wazzza. But hey Manchester United are still kings of England and will always remain. I feel bad for fulham next game cuz RVP will drain rain on those hoes!!!!
compleyely right ,manu is king of england.ALSO will stay top of the table...great win
you guys won but do you really think it was a wonderful performance..? apart from the first goal the defense was fairly good blocking 7 shots, but i actually thought (and it seems like the commentators agreed with me) that so'ton played better, just not nearly as polished as united who are notoriously good at putting away a high percentage of chances even when those chances are far and few in between.

Well that was fun, despite Fergies praise I would rather have played worse and got a point.

I wonder how many times this season United will have less possession and pass success then the other team?

Oh and it was offside (tight but replays prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt) also never a penalty, I guess you guys are too used to getting them huh ;P

Boruc is finally looking like a decent keeper and the stop from Van Persie's header was world class. Good to see Lallana back as well we have missed him massively underrated (he is like our carrick but with flair and energy)

A draw would of been a fair result but to be fair most saints fans would have taken not being drubbed before the game.

i don't know how you are saying the replay proved it was offside beyond shadow of a doubt. it was level at best. even the commentators couldn't decide whether if it was offside or not. and most of the times, the attacker gets the benefit of doubt when it's 50/50. but since it's united, i guess it's okay when the decision goes in favor of the opposite team huh ;P

Whatever. United win.......Moving on

Well i have to disagree on the disallowed goal, it was clearly onside but what can you do, sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't.
Southampton probably deserved a point but then again, their only goal came from a massive United c**k-up so in the end the result is pretty fair.
What is happening to Davys?

it was definitely close, from the angle shown it looks like rvp's feet are on sides but he's leaning towards the goal and if any part of your body that can score is offsides, you're offsides. probably have to go with the linesman on this one.
Comeback Kings!

De Gea Save was excellent

The highlights don't really tell the story of the game, because in between all the clear chances, Southampton invariably had the ball! They played so well. Good to see Rooney getting back amongst it, and I've got a lot of time for Kagawa.

De Gea was just scared to challenge. He's still what? 22? That's a very young age for a goalkeeper. Goalkeepers start to mature at the age of 26-28.
I don't blame De Gea for that goal, he looked like he pulled out to not foul. At the 3 min mark if he gets sent off, that would have caused more problems and lost the game for man utd, and with 87mins left to play that is a very smart mature move by the young lad.

It's no one's fault. Get over it. We won.
It was Carrick's fault. He made a meal of his first touch and his second was even worse.
