wow Malawi did good here. Too bad they couldn't play like this against Angola.
Too many errors from the goalkeeper,he is not the kind to bring for the Afcon. Unless if otherwise intended to just come and honor the fixtures. Not yet convinced that Algeria could be a good image of African football/soccer. Its a pity that they had advanced to the world cup after knocking down one of the better teams in Africa.
malawi paly big game and them the more danguros and have mpre chanses and algria dont do any thing to make them deserve the win
We had that coming - great game by Malawi though!

Anybody can have an off day or an on day, that's why we love the beautiful game of football!
Very surprising. I was under the impression that Algeria were quite good.
No Dude They Are Not :(

for the USA's sake...I actually hope Algeria improve a bit in this tourney and get a couple good results. I don't want to face a team of angry Algerians with something to prove. All credit goes to Malawi; it's a shame more people weren't there to witness it. Algeria definitely has some questions to answer, especially at keeper!
when Malawy`s Coach is asked about the win he said that i was sure about that , becouse i drew with Egypt " the Champion " on its land & drew with Ghana & beat Mozambique, so i expected the win , i must win .

nice words from the Coach .
Algeria's defense is pure crap . . plus I cant remember when I last saw a stadium this empty at a tournament this big - a shame really!
the result does not matter to me but what passion shown by Malawi
like said before, despite the empty seats the african cup is the sh..!
What the f**** is this the team that will represent Africa in the World Cup?!.
We, as Egyptians apologize to Africa for letting this team represent Africa in the WC, cause they will bring shame to Africa, a team that loses 3 nil to Malawi will probably lose 8 nil with England! i hope they will do better in the WC.
Algeria' s keeper was hilarious! he definitely needs to get some practice in!....ths result was a definite surprise, like everyone else, i expected Algeria to leave with the win but instead they showed up with a keeper who doesn't even look like he can catch the flu! all credit to Malawi though for capitalizing on their chances. I also agree with tony, the stands were a stark contrast to what we saw on the opening day granted that the hosts were playing. the CAF however has generated alot of interest all over the world as a result of the talent on display. thus the respective authorities should devise some plan with incentives to encourage a better turn out to the less appealing games because after all, the world is watching...
i must admit that it was a surprise but a pleasant one
It was poor goalkeeping all round, but that last one was hilarious. How the hell did the keeper mistime his punch by that much?
What happened to Algeria? With so many high profile names, this performance is just disastrous.....
