France is really becoming a defensive team.
We don't score goals anymore but we don't lose either!
I've watched a couple of our games full out. They don't know how to finish. When a top 100 player get's the ball in front of the goal he is shot on for the most part. The U.S. is missing those same shots. Some that are a simple tap in.

Klinsmann is going to take time. He is taking the club in a completely different direction than they've gone before. He is also fighting a piss poor development system that teaches young players very bad habits. He knows this as does the national organization. Time and patience.

REMY IS LIKE THIERRY HENRY, HE NEEDS TO PLAY AT FRONT
Come on... Klinsmann can't make miracles happen... you can tell Americans don't like football. If they did they would be one of the best teams in the world. at least top 3. they would just do as they do in the Olympics. get a bunch of young talented athletes from all over the world, nationalize them, and put together the best team in the world. heck Neymar would be American by now...

aright bro, settle down.

Its not so much that we don't like it. More so that football is still a niche sport and still growing. More people currently like other sports, therefore football is on the back burner. Some day in the future we will nationalize everyone and be competitive.

Italian hater Alert
why don't you just accept the fact that there are just some sport that america would never be good at. At least they also TRY to play rugby.
Youch! I'm sorry, but I hate blind views from any person, U.S or not. How many players of non-ethnic origin does any major power have these days? Yes, the U.S. picks up some non-American Olympians, so do many other world powers. Should it be allowed, no. Does it happen, yes, but less than you think.

Note the part where it says the US Olympic Committee doesn't recruit athletes. Neither does England, Italy etc. But those top economic powers have the funds to field well prepared teams and that is attractive to athletes from less... endowed countries.

BTW - how many non Italians play for AC Milan? Something like 12?

The US may never be great a football, and as an citizen that makes me sad, but at least I get to watch the greatest players in the world via internet...

Pretty cool match up with France and Usa, but I mean I not fan of USA, but would have being nice if they got one here in friendly, but good that the French fans saw a goal and win
Klinsmann needs to start getting some wins under his belt. The US team may not be the most skilled in the world but they do have a lot of talent and for them to lose as many games under Klinsmann shows something's amiss.
KlinsMAAAAN!
missing most of our back line but in the end i thought we played decently. we definitely had most of the possession, controlled the game, and never felt in danger besides maybe once in the last 10 min. US center backline did well but the goal was always coming. martin and mvila played well of course. cant wait to see our game against belgium. usa needs to get their s**t together, like the commentators said, they came to play physically but technically they should have done better. klinsmann will improved the team though, time will tell
