Villa - The Original giants of English football, a great, great old club - should be beating teams like liverpool far more often. Birmingham is a huge city - twice the size of Liverpool - and the people of the city need ASTON VILLA to start winning trophies again.

McGrath u make me laugh mate...Thanks mate.
Original Giants.....lol....
How about England?
Some other Clubs Forest....Leeds....Huddersfield....all giants @ one time.....move on Villa fan and win a trophy....u make me laugh mate....good one!
@Liverpool5, you sound like a snob. Just because liverpool might be considered a 'larger' club than Villa it doesn't mean that Villa don't have a huge history and place in the PL.
Stop hating guys. Disgraceful! like you never hail your team, can't keep you mouths shut when it comes to that.
Paul Lambert has now defeated Brendan Rodgers 4 times out of the last 5...

How many times are people going to say "on another day, we'd have won 4-0" ??

Been hearing that since this time last year, and "another day" has never come. The reality is that the chances we create are absolute rubbish.

Rodgers and others say we battered them for 20 minutes...I'd say it was closer to 5 minutes. The Downing cross, then the botched pass from Suarez to Gerrard...I counted only one solid chance a few minutes later and from then on it was typical half-chances. We must give credit to Aston Villa, though, because after the initial warm-up period they defended brilliantly.

It's obvious to all the players and all those sat in Anfield that we spend the first 20 minutes of every Anfield fixture trying as hard as possible to score. We try so hard that we end up lacking composure and making bad decisions. We have zero confidence in our ability to score after this point, and in almost every home game, the chances of us scoring rapidly dwindle as the minutes pass.

We are better away from home, partly because teams will come at us and give us space to work in, and partly for psychological reasons.

Team psychologist has his work cut out for him and he needs to be briefed on the issues that have been at the club far longer than just this season. Given that so many people have been fired in the past 2 years, I dont' know who is left to give such a lesson, besides a couple of our players themselves.

This is why I'm happy if we are linked with Daniel Sturridge. Whether you like his quality or not, he is a confident prick, and frankly, we need more of those at the club.
wtf happend with liverpool man

if rodgers thinks he can .. why not lambert.., waiting for chelsea to loose against villa... benteke and weiman outplayed rooney and rvp this weekend..,
Wat?
Benteke bossed that game
=( oh it hurts.
Basically, don't buy shitty english players... Go abroad, working for swansea. This game was poor, as we had more of everything and didn't score. 2 Goals against us should not of even happened if Allen f*****g opened his eyes.

How pathetic a comment was that,it doesnt matter tueir nationality,if anything they should be more patriotic and try harder if its in their own country, but the reality is all footballers are shallow nowadays
I remember when pundits were saying at the beginning of the season that Benteke was a waste of money.
benteke is a monster, loved him at Genk and love him more @ Villa :D

Lol, the second goal, they was playing Barcelona, don't look, just pass, like Ronaldinho, Belgium quality goal...
Rogers has much of a idea as the owners in managing a football team. Seems along time ago that we were at wembley 3 times in one season. Can,t see any thing in the transfer window as the Team need players in positios all over the park. Having tinkered about in all positions, the confidence of the team and the club has suffered .
a very bad performance to us and well played to aston villa
les belges sont la!
