Goals from Jordi Hiwula and a penalty from Denis Suarez weren't enough to give City a deserved three points on Monday afternoon as a brace from Mark Pelosi held the Blues to a draw. With no first-team match for 12 days due to the international break, this was seen as the perfect opportunity to hand Sinclair his first minutes in a City shirt at Liverpool's Kirkby Academy base. Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers was also in attendance to run the rule over Liverpool's youngsters whose only recognisable name came in the shape of Jack Robinson who has turned out for Liverpool's senior side before. Sinclair's first meaningful contribution arrived after 10 minutes when he drove forward and cut back for Luca Scapuzzi to narrowly miss the target. A minute later, the former Swansea man was put clear but Sama did well to divert his shot over the bar. On the half-hour mark, City went close to taking the lead again - this time through Albert Rusnak who wriggled free to get his shot away only to see his effort go a yard wide of the target. Rusnak picked up a knock in the process and was promptly withdrawn, meaning there was another chance for 16-year old Marcos Lopes to shine ...
