Arab commentator is sick !!! so passionate!!
I THINK DOWNING IS ONE PLAYER WHO HASNT REACHED IS FULL POTENTIAL.WE WANT TO SEE HIM PLAYLIKE A TRUE WINGER.I MEAN TAKE ON DEFENDERS,AND DELIVER PIN POINT CROSSES JUSTL LIKE ANGEL DI MARIA,NANI AND ANTONIO VALENCIA.HE IS JUST TOO DIRECT,AND SHYS AWAY FROM AKING ON DEFENDERS.
kenny keep your eyes on jonjo...i think the boy deserves to be in the first eleven.
Good game
Nice goal from carrol, now score goals in the premier league!

Amen
Carol's goal was the best of the game. At least we know that he is capable of it...
compare similar age players like Silva and Aguero and look at the quality difference between them and A.Carroll.

The only reason he got goals for Newcastle is because he was given excellent service....but good quality creative players like Silva, Aguero..etc..can make something on their own!

Now look at Demba BA..hes much better than Carroll and his goalscoring is helped by the Newcastle service.

Dalglisha nd the Liverpool made a very bad investment in Carroll.

okay just VAN PERSIE left we will see who your replacement is HENRY LOL!

Silva and Ba are both 26, 4 years is a long time in a footballer's life. There is no denying Aguero is an amazing young talent and he has definitely settled in far easier at his new club than Carroll has done.

But I would not rule the no. 9 out yet. I'd like to see how he works with a fit Gerrard, a player who can deliver balls exactly like Barton did at Newcastle, if not better.

"Carroll is an investment, Carroll is an investment."
thats what I've been chanting to myself this season, while hoping for the future. games like this where Andy shows flashes of quality keep my hope alive!
Yes, all those players you mentioned are performing out of their minds this season, so I would never dare compare our #9 to them..
no doubt Demba Ba has been receiving excellent service from the Newcastle midfield, in fact Cabaye/Tiote are world class. definitely better than the liverpool mid with our lackluster performances so far this season.

as for Carroll, I would argue that players develop, mature and grow at different rates.. and that Andy just needs an arm around the shoulder from the experienced war horses Bellamy, Kuyt and Gerrard. :)
well done to Carroll for scoring against Oldham :)

Pool needed this big win despite the opposition. Only negative were the racist liverpool fans hurling abuse at Tom Adeyemi.
great win for liverpool... gerrards penalty is outstanding... no keeper can save that... carrolls goal was also good
