Watching: This is the second part of my Lionel Messi Passes videos (for the link to the first part, look down). What makes Messi the best player in the world (in my opinion) is not only his great dribbling skills, but also his passing ability. This is a video of some of his great passes over the past year (includes passes from anything not included in the first video). Hope you like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfJT2U3OUps Lionel Andrés Messi (born 24 June 1987) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for La Liga team Barcelona and the Argentine national team. Messi is considered to be one of the best football players of his generation, having received several Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations by the age of 21. His playing style and ability have drawn comparisons to football legend Diego Maradona, who himself declared Messi his "successor". Messi began playing football at a young age and his potential was quickly identified by Barcelona. He left Rosario-based Newell's Old Boys's youth team in 2000 and moved with his family to Europe, as Barcelona offered treatment for his growth hormone deficiency. Making his debut in the 200405 season, he broke the La Liga record for the youngest footballer to play a league game, and also the youngest to score a league goal. Major honours soon followed as Barcelona won La Liga in Messi's debut season, and won a double of the league and UEFA Champions League in 2006. His breakthrough season was in 200607: he became a first team regular, scoring a hat-trick in El Clásico and finishing with 14 goals in 26 league games. Perhaps his most successful season was the 200809 season, in which Messi scored 38 goals to play an integral part in a treble winning campaign. Messi was the top scorer with six goals, including two in the final game of the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. Shortly thereafter, he became an established member of Argentina's senior international team. In 2006 he became the youngest Argentine to play in the FIFA World Cup and he won a runners-up medal at the Copa América tournament the following year. In 2008, in Beijing, he won his first international honour, an Olympic gold medal, with the Argentina Olympic football team. nice song, could you tell me what soundtrack you use for this video? thank you
First clip...what a ball.
Amazing passes... Yet when I see so many misses in front of goal, I wonder what Barça would be like with a true centre-forward with great finishing skill.
yeah they should give giroud a call
This movie is for people who think leo's greedy
messi just more than words...a complete footballer in all necessary aspect of the game....

So much for Xavi and Iniesta setting up all of Messi's goals, lol. The guy had over 20 assists last year. The passes on this video were just from last season, what a collection. He has Ronaldinho's vision with the scoring touch of a striker and the dribbling ability of Maradona, wow! Great video, it should help fans to appreciate the best player of this era. Had Messi's teammates not missed so many of those chances he created, he would've approached 30 assists. One glaring miss was the one when RM pretty much clinched the title at Camp Nou. People forget that miss by Xavi, look at how many RM players went after Messi and left Xavi alone and Messi finds a way to get the ball through to Xavi but he lays an egg one on one with Casillas, bit momment in the game. There was another play later in the game where Messi set up Tello and he shot it to the moon. Anyway, kudos to the maker of this video and I hope football fans appreciate this young man's football iq, especially his passing which is special.
Nowhere near the quality of Cristiano Ronaldo's passing!

I remember applauding that assist at 1:20 when I was watching the game...altho it did hurt us lol. I'm a die hard Madrid fan...and in terms of footballing rivalry, i hate Barcelona...but as a football fan I've enjoyed watching some Barcelona geniuses over the years...Ronaldinho and Messi most recently, no matter if they have hurt us from time to time...i remember seeing Messi when he was younger and saying that kid will be great and we will have trouble, and he's delivered...Bojan is another barca footballer that I was a fan of seeing him play at 16...disappointed that he hasn't showed his potential though, he still has time...don't get it twisted though..Madrid 4 life...I can appreciate out bitter rivals though
