Andy Carroll just looks better with Stevie G on the pitch. I've missed Gerrard's wonderful crosses...and charisma...and pace...and influence...

Goal of the week?!? Sure it was a nice finish but comeon.

You should be voting for how good the goal is, not just because you like Gerrard and its nice to see him back. Its not a sympathy vote, its goal of the week!!

I rather liked it, Atnighthawk.
I understand the vote, sometimes the context is more important than the goal himself, it's like Henry's header against MU in the last minute a few years ago for example. Gerrard is a huge symbol for LFC, he's coming back and scores a nice goal.
Give LFC fans a break ;)
Here is my advice for carrol for 2012...cut your pony hair...try be a new look...be a 'guy' that KD seems in you...trust me...you will be more confident and matured...its all about striker should have...and you will be the next no9 liverpool legend...trust me...
f*ck yeah, Stevie G is back, and still the best player on the pitch by 10,000 miles. He almost makes carol look good, almost.

I noticed a lot of comments whining about the goal of the week. Just wanted to say it's not just LFC fans who voted for it... Lots of football fans are glad to see a living football legend take the pitch by storm on his first outing since returning from injury and scoring a goal. That's something special.

Peace :)

I don't understand why Kyut is not given more time on field. Dalglish is just being arrogant with his flop over priced 'British' buys. Other that Gerrard and Suarez, Kyut is still better that all the other guys on field.

i dont agree , kuyt has been out of form for a while.

Finally, Liverpool looking fresh and energetic instead of just solid and slightly boring. Newcastle has certainly not been the easiest side to beat this season.
I love gerrard and it's amazing what he is and he does for liverpool easily one of my all time favorites, but goal of the week is suppose to be a contest for who scored the best goal not a popularity contest for who the most liked player is

To be fair, it's not exactly an easy angle to score from.
@Surfryn, I agree completely.
Glad to see Stevie G back.

amen!
STEVIE IS BACK! so glad to see one of the best midfielders up and running again

GREAT RESULT FOR LIVERPOOL!!
Especially good because of the performance from Gerrard, Im looking forward to watching him regain his original form. Liverpool was using crutches without Gerrard, now that they have there other leg back, they wil be able to run. As for Andy Carroll....
