Dempsey needs to be brought down from his high horse if he wants to progress. He scored this one, but last game was a complete fail from 5 yards - he needs to focus on his game more than his ego. Feel bad for Jamaica, if they had that early goal and if the US didn't score from a deflection, could have been different. All in all exciting game. Congratulations USA

You're right but he's a Texan... That's normal... Also, him being a Texan I'm sure he sees his mistakes and acknowledge them... Texas folks don't like to accept failure... As far as I'm concerned, Deuce is one of the hardest working footballers out there... Look at his record for Fulham...

Donavan is favored over Dempsey because of 2 reasons. First and most unfair, Donavan is in the MLS. He's USA's precious baby who stayed home. Second, even tho they are both hard working players, Donavan tends to be more consistent than Deuce. Every LA Galaxy game Donavan makes his presence known on the pitch. But there are some Fulham games where Deuce is completely invisible. But pound for pound I'd take Deuce over Don.

this was a very good performance by the yanks!! could have been 5 or 6, but u have to give credit for donovan rickets for those tremendous saves especially the one on dempsey's header. tim howard also had a very good one in the opening minutes of the game. great game by the americans, and finishing wuzn't called into question, only thing wuz rickets wuz able to match almost all of our shots.
