Italy really should have one that match. I think they outplayed Uruguay and if not for the excellent saves by Uruguays keeper they would've completely outclassed the opponent
Thank goodness it was only a friendly...
MUSLERA! what a beast?!
Great game for Uruguay considering their two star strikers where on the bench due to injury. Would've been totally different game altogether with the starting crew.
Well both teams had important injuries, italy were also missing Cassano, Rossi and Giovinco

Italy had many chances! Good game by Uruguay, Italy unlucky.
it's a lost game against one of the strongest current footballing nations, but a very well played game. I'm really liking Balotelli in the national team.... he's a beast of a player. I think Parandelli has found a group of players that work very well together, and i'm very excited to see what the near future holds for us. Congrats to Uruguay, and Forza Italia!

Both teams are really good. Balotelli is a beast.
I know Italy lost but there's a lot of positive to be taken out of the game. So many missed chances. Well done to Uruguay though. Muslera did really well in goal.

Mario is a beast man... he is gradually getting momentum... Totally see him within the top ten in the world in no time.

yea the guy is so good
Great match, Italy was quite wasteful but they played a decently solid game. Us Uruguayans are becoming ever more powerful in the football world. We have that fighting spirit, and what we lack in quality we make up in heart. Cant wait for the World Cup #HistoryRepeatsItself

Uruguay Goalkeeper is probably the most underrated in the world.... kept watching the highlights of Argentina vs Uruguay in the copa. Actually Argentina kept attacking Uruguay throughout and had better possession if its not for the Keeper who saved some unbelievable save Uruguay would not even be in the copa final.....I thought Uruguay was luvky that day but no it was the goalkeeper.....

yeah he had the game of his life against argentina, i knew it would be hard to get a goal past him, and it became even more evident throughout the match. I think if it wasn't for him and italy's wastefulness italy would have won, because aside from the early goal uruguay looked pretty uninspired. Though i do think they are a strong team, constantly improving and it was a good result for them. Performance wise, it was better for italy
muslera is pretty inconsistant. he lets in fluke goals but aside from being unlucky, he's fantastic
He seems to make some spectacular saves, but didn't always perform well at Lazio - incosistent as Dicicco8 above says, so Lazio replaced him with Marchetti this season.
heard some opinion , that Muslera is average goalkeeper ! but from the world cup and south america cup i cant agree with that ! he is very confident ! by the way , Uruguay one of the best teams in the world wright now !
Uruguay a true superpower these days and Italy showed reasonable quality and capability on the pitch. Very unlucky in some cases, but Prandelli won't mind as in friendlies it's the performance and attitude of the players, not the result that counts.
Uruguay is probably the best team in South America. They haev a great offene, and ok midfield and most importantly, they also have a nice defense. I wouldn't get surprised if they make it to the semi-final of the WOrld Cup again. As for Italy, this loss means that they have to find someone to replace Cassano. Maybe Giovinco might suit in there perfectly. I think Prandelli has done a great job by transforming Italy to a top class side again.
Best possible result for Italy in my honest opinion. They outplayed Uruguay and lost. This will insure that they won't be overconfident and will continue to improve. Mario must have been the most fouled person on the pitch, endured some rough treatments.

I believe you meant best performance cos the result is what earns the points.
That's true (best possible performance), my mistake, Uruguay did win after all.
No, i think your original statement made more sense - if you wanted to improve it, 'best possible outcome' would be the way to go, since your main point was that Italy will learn from this and won't be overconfident. Best possible performance implies Italy could not have played any better. Aren't arguments over sementics great?
^^^^ true

glad we've straightened this out lol

that's new italy shirt
I'm not so keen on it.
