IMHO Italy's performance in that friendly game was better than their performance at that world cup, but CIV was a better team. It's true Italy had new players and some are justifying their defeat by that, but CIV actually has no coach since the end of the world cup and are still looking for one. They probably didn't train because of it and other internal problems in the selection(this man in suit is not their coach but might be in a near future).So give them a break they deserved that victory, and give a break to Italy they played good, but lack of finisher.

I would love to see someone saying that Ivory coast beating one those so-called big teams was looming. And Italy has just been the guinea-pig. It is a process which will carry on. A process starting at the world cup 2006. Italy are in another level of low.

Not too bad really. We look much faster and we created some excellent chances to score...I like what I see so far. It will take some time to develop the new players. They were agressive and that was missing in the WC team. The score should have been 1-1 for sure. I am not too worried...Cesare is on the right track.

And anyway, Italy are the sort of team that can be totally rubbish and then totally good.
