gotta wonder why Man U fans are ripping liverpool for losing to Hull with a weak team out when last time Liverpool and Man u faced man u lost 3-1, can hardly call us that bad when we are beating you... every team has good days and bad, an experimental team and a bad day can cause upsets but like everyone else says PRE-SEASON fitness is important, not the win, i'd rather know Liverpool are coming into the league with players fit for the games than playing the same team over and over again.

Great result for Hull but after all it is a friendly and Liverpool were fielding mainly reserves. That's the whole point of these games to experiment new players/tactics. If you remember last pre-season Chelsea didn't win a game but then made a great start to the season.

But Dalglish seriously needs to start thinking about signing some decent defenders...

Poor result although I have no idea who was playing apart from Doni.To be fair not sure he had much chance with the goals but the defense looked poor backing off instead of getting stuck in.Only a friendly so not very worried,they'll be a different team when full strength.

Ajax 3-1 Chelsea, Hamburg 2-1 Chelsea , Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Chelsea we had the worst results in pre season matches 2010-11 and yet we got a flying start to the season beating West Brom 6-0 and Wigan 0-6. Even though these matches does not have much importance as fans it realy sucks when you find your club losing to a minor club :(

i say it was Hull being confident and not playing for a draw which shocked Liverpool. Normally teams like Hull play for a draw in a league game against big teams. In a friendly match players have more freedom to try new things and are encouraged to take chances getting forward. I wouldnt take this game so seriously if I were a Liverpool fan,,, the real test of the prem is after the winter transfer window because you have to keep your form going into the second half of the season and keep your players healthy, Good first 2 goals from Hull.
