Watching: After years of controversey and months of meetings, football's lawmakers have approved the use of goal-line technology in hopes of reducing human error in decision-making. The English-made Hawkeye technology will rely on six cameras around the stadium to pinpoint the position of the ball. GoalRef, developed jointly in Denmark and Germany, uses a sensor implanted inside the ball - which is detected by a magnetic field on the goal line. There will also be an option to forego technology altogether, and instead have extra officials behind the goal.

Goalref ftw
Thats how easy it is, both should be used, help play so much, no controversy and if there are these options why not! Saves ref any problems, any teams from allowing or disallowing a goal. Technology is way advanced and we have so many camera's and senses that why not use it, especially in major tournaments and leagues. It would help so much. Hope its there soon.
So what happens if one of them indicates a goal and the other does not? The ref will self-destruct and chaos will ensue?
+2
Actually that's exactly what would happen. How did you know?
well they gonna decide on whether we are going to use GL technology in football but its really up to them if refs can really know when the ball has crossed the line.
Alfrodo you should work for NASA. How did you know that ?
