Canada needs to play more international games, which coupled with a growing interest (Yay Vancouver Whitecaps! Go!) and some change at the Canada Soccer group may pay dividends in the next 10 years or so.

I bet we see Canada in the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.

lmao, nice pass. Poeple here in Canada are too into hockey, it will take ages the way its going for them to have a proper team. Because unlike AMerica, they are not a big talent factory. Even though, football isnt the focus of attention in AMerica, theres still a pretty healthy population that like the game. Plus, you gotta admit it AMerica has some of the best athletes in the world, which is why they can produce players like Altidore and ONyewu. But that goal, was silly...

Definitely not a bad result for Canada. Greece won euro 08'. This definitely wasn't going to be easy for Canada. The problem with the CMNT is the federation!

See, we Canadians are just so nice to everyone. What a beautiful pass from the defender, just gifted the ball to the Greek striker! It happens in my high school football league too; last season's forwards would pass it around the box when they had a clear shot. We were unbeaten last season, but we rarely won because we were too nice in the attacking third!

Maybe we've just devoted ourselves too much towards hockey, eh?

Dude, with a little more structure and an increase in MLS interest, Canada will be better. As an American, I'm more than happy that we took Teal Bunbury off your hands, but keep your chin up! Though Greece may have underperformed at the World Cup, they are not to be taken lightly. This was by no means an embarrassing result for you.
