VELA!!! How can you smash a team so hard in a final? The thing is, only Mexicans play football in America sooo everyone knows the outcome!
+1
its always been this way, USA have too many defense problems. Mexico Champion gold cup 2009. Thanks Aguiirre
5-0 is just embarrassing. I guess Mexico really wanted it and were finally able to show it, unlike the game versus our brothers from Trinidad and Tobago where the team showed little interest in trying to win the game.
I'm pretty sure it is a penalty since he was pulling him from behind and his foot just happened to be there too.
VIVA MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to : The usa fans shouldnt worry about this loss, we will just beat them in a game that matters more and win the world cup before they ever do. If there were any real mexico fans here, they would be veryyyy worried about not even qualifing for the world cup. That looks like its gonna happen......... LMAO SHUT UP have you been watching the games guess you were wrong ...honestly all the haters should shut uppp ..its just soccer
yall lost 2-1 good luck to usa in there wc 2010
mexico played a great game and u.s will surely fall in fifa world rankings.to bad they worked so hard in the confederations cup.

i have to hear a bunch of s**t from all my mexican friends about this bullshit, i don't understand why referees can't look at replays that clearly wasn't a penalty, they certainly looked at replays in the world cup to eject zidane, everyone says oh bit it was 5-0, doesnt matter the penalty changed the momentum of the game entirely, does santos should have been carded or perhaps ejected for elbowing and diving, mexico is getting jacked up by the us in azteca anyways though, even if there are a ridiculous amount of beer bottles thrown at us players
no llores vato jajaja
Well played mexico, USA were poor no matter what team was out there...Dos Santos shud get a few more games this season from harry i think
way to go mexico. you have good talent and I like that you're improving but your celebrations are over the top and it makes you look like panzies. I mean your players were hugging eachother after the pk call, which is debatable, (ok terrible call) because santos went down like he took a snipper shot after throwing his elbow into the defenders face. You should have kept your cool because the real U.S. squad will be in your backyard soon and they're quite a bit better than this one. Don't dissapoint yourselves.
Even though it was USA's B team it was still a good boost for mexico, But the real match will come in august and that will show us if mexico has improved greatly from before.
USA 0-5 México
That's a Fact
against a USA side that was thrown together for this tournament to get the 3rd stringers some expirience... grats mexico you beat nothing. your still bad.
Mexico really needed this game/tournament to boost their confidence heading into their final World Cup qualifying matches. To say this game is meaningless, why even play at all then? I believe that's the most detrimental excuse in sports. I don't think I've seen fans of either side complain throughout the tournament that this was their 'X' squad until after this match. Both teams gained experience from this that will help them in the future. As for on their celebrating, what did you expect? It was a tournament win in front of 70k+ fans, has been nearly a decade since they have beaten the US on home soil, as well as breaking a 58-game U.S. home win streak against CONCACAF opponents. That's something to be proud of. Now that all this is over, it's time to look forward to Aug. 12.
By the way- if that was Mexico's B team I expect most those guys to be ten times better in the years to come than the older A team guys.
